Lyamus is a two—storey wooden building, which will soon be 400 years old (one of the two oldest wooden buildings preserved in Belarus). It is located in the center on the territory of the Brigitte Church. Built without a single nail! The first floor was used as a warehouse, the second as a living room. The exhibition "irons, scales, household items" is currently inside. There are guided tours (pre-registration by phone, 7 sightseeing tours per day, starting from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. every hour, break from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.). We arrived late at about 20.00. We thought that we would not enter the territory. But the guard in the booth let us through, having learned that we were guests of the city and wanted to explore the famous building. The entrance inside, of course, was already closed. But we took our time and enjoyed the enchanting sunset views of the monastery, strolled alone through the territory and examined the building from the outside. We were accompanied by four-legged guards, gentle ones. We left some money for the dogs (a special donation box for dogs was installed), and, of course, we also made a monetary donation for the repair and restoration of the Lamus (a separate container for fundraising). If you do not have cash, you can pay using a QR code.

The oldest barn :) unexpected and wonderful. There is a house on the territory of the monastery, which is undergoing restoration. In 2022, the Poles managed to complete the restoration. They are currently being maintained in good condition. Inside there is a huge museum of artifacts, oh, household items :) I highly recommend it, especially with a guide. The entrance is for a donation, do not regret, take real pennies with you and throw them into the chest. You probably haven't seen such irons yet.

An old wooden building (restored, of course) on the territory of the monastery. Definitely worth a look. We visited in the middle of November, it was cold, but this did not prevent us from not only visiting the building from the outside, but also visiting the exhibitions inside. During our visit, there were exhibitions of irons and scales. The guide told me very interestingly, inspiringly, I can say that we looked at antique irons for more than an hour and never had the urge to leave. Who knows what exhibitions will be on your visit, but please come! The visit is free, but you can leave a voluntary donation or buy a souvenir for the restoration and maintenance of the building. Or not to leave and not to buy.
