Almost all the comments here relate to the ancient cities of the World, which are located below, and the photos are posted by him. This point is The Lycian Castle (Kale Kay Fortress) is located on a hilltop above the modern village of Kale Kay. The ascent to the fortress is located on the right about 0.5km from the entrance to the ancient city of Mira. Admission is free, and it runs along part of the Lycian trail. The hike will take about half an hour. The castle is built on the foundations of the ancient Lycian city of Simena. In the Middle Ages, it protected the area from pirates, and during the Crusades it belonged to the Knights of St. John. They restored the castle and made it usable. The fortress is located on the highest point of the area, offering a strategic view of the surrounding area: Kekova Island, modern Uchagyz, ancient Simena and Teimussa, the bay and the strait. Inside the fortress there are the remains of the smallest Lycian theater — it consists of only 7 rows and is designed for 300 spectators. Well-preserved old walls stretch along the southern side of the hill. Some of the stones from the masonry of the ancient Acropolis were used in the construction of new buildings, as evidenced by the inscriptions on the borrowed blocks. At the top you will find a flagpole with a Turkish flag, the ruins of the fortress (well preserved), they are illuminated in the evening. The ruins of the acropolis World and the ruins that are called well on osm. Also, along the way, you will have a great view of the ancient city of the World below - the theater and partly the tombs. For the extreme and the prepared, if you leave the designated route to the left, you will see cut-out windows in the rock. If you manage to get there without special means, then you can do rock climbing;) Be careful, there are a lot of deep concrete wells at the top, all open. If you go at dusk or at night, falling through there, it will be extremely difficult to get out.

The Lycian Castle is not a tourist "city of the World", which is nearby, it is a completely different object! All other reviews are wrong here. The castle is an ancient fortress on a rock that existed, obviously, from the Neolithic to the collapse of the Byzantine Empire. The walls of Danjon and several other walls have been preserved. The ascent is possible only along a path cut down in antiquity. It's difficult and hot to climb, so count on your strength and water. The way up will probably take 30+ minutes, there are antique wells along the way, look carefully. The road is marked as the Lycian Trail, with white, red, and white stripes. I'll attach a photo of where the road starts (36.260174, 29.988572) and what the marker looks like. Admission is free, but difficult, for true connoisseurs of ancient fortifications :)

Myra of Lycia. 6th-5th century BC. I know very little about this civilization. The amphitheater is perfectly preserved (although it was discovered accidentally in the last century under layers of mud after the powerful floods of the Mira River). The influence of Ancient Greece or even Ancient Rome. There was even an unconfirmed version of gladiatorial combat. Two Lycian necropolises right in the rocks. Depending on the status. The higher you go, the closer you get to heaven, to the Gods. Earthquakes, floods, conquest, and the demise of civilization.
