Wonderful restaurant, all around! I’ve been a loyal patron since its opening nearly five years ago. Machar’s breakfast, lunch, and dinner options are all fantastic. The staff is helpful, patient, and multilingual.
I’ve hosted several events at Machar and it’s one of my go-to spots for lunch meetings.
I love that Machar has both indoor and outdoor seating - moreover, their indoor seating areas all have a different vibe to them. That’s what makes this restaurant so unique - I’ve been with my family (including toddlers and kids), for date nights, and with a group of friends.
I can’t say enough good things about Machar.

The best restaurant in Yerevan. There is a classic hall, a lounge restaurant, a cocktail bar, a wine library, and a pub is just super. Well, the kitchen is super tasty. I also definitely want to write about the author's cocktails, of which there are 20 pieces in this restaurant.

It is a very cozy and atmospheric place. A really expensive, rich restaurant (although there is also a pub downstairs on "run in for half an hour to have a glass).
There are many halls of different design, there are plenty to choose from.
The waiters are trained straight.. I haven't seen this for a long time. Friendly, patient, tactful, not intrusive. Very tasty cognac 10 year old Ararat Dvin with peaches!!))))
In general, I strongly recommend it!
I was somewhat reminded of a Soviet restaurant for foreigners (if anyone understands what I mean) - in this case, this is a compliment on my part for the restaurant.

So far, this is the best restaurant I have visited in Yerevan.
Delicious cuisine, atmospheric and cozy, unobtrusive.
I really liked the service, the staff is smiling and friendly, they offered to choose the room you like.
We were with a child, we settled down on the second floor with a stroller, there are no children's chairs, but it doesn't matter.
It so happened that we were alone in the hall, it was amazing 😍

A very pleasant and strict place. There are many halls, you can walk around and choose what you like. There is a large courtyard. The staff is very friendly. We went to drink Machar wine (raspberry), a glass costs 1,000, and a liter decanter costs 7,000.
It was delicious and very pleasant to spend time there.
We returned twice during the vacation. In the photo, the food that was ordered.

An amazing place! Very atmospheric, cozy, the waiters are all friendly and smiling. The dishes are very tasty! I tried bruschetta, Thai Beef salad and salad with prosciutto and pear. I highly recommend you to visit. The atmosphere is really addictive.

We were in this restaurant on 05/28/2024, ordered veal and a second dish of minced meat with mushrooms, from 2 servings of veal, one was just one fat, they did not eat, the waiter, seeing that everything was left, apologized, and carried a glass of young wine as compensation, this dish was included in the bill. It was our first dinner in Yerevan, it was very insulting, they did not want to swear, the bill was paid, but the impression was spoiled. Saint-Petersburg.

a place named after the young raspberry wine "machar". I didn't find it on the menu, honestly. But, of course, ordering it is not a problem. But I'm thinking... if it is a capital, branded drink in some sense. Maybe we should promote him more? For the guests of Yerevan at least.
A menu where it is difficult to choose, and even more so if you come twice and do not want to repeat yourself. Arishta with cavourma, roll with cavourma, roast with cavourma, cavourma is also in the dishes on the table, maybe it should have been called "Cavourmeria"? )
I saved it for 2200 drams, BUT it's with a kufta, a variant with a bulgur shell, a simple one saved without anyone costs 1200 here (do you hear that, "Tumanyan pandok"?!). Thick thick soup and excellent kufta.
Arishta with cavour... not a dish that can be called pasta. These are typical Soviet pasta on a side dish with meat. There is no synergy between noodles (not bad in itself) and meat (very dense, does cavourma have a dried version? The main thing is not to be yesterday's).
The next day, zheng khats, hummus and mutabal and cavourma roll were brought to me almost synchronously, it was good to have one at the table, the second eater would definitely have nowhere to put his plate. But I remind myself that this is from hospitality and cordiality.
Zheng khats - I continue, alas, to make sure that the more centered the restaurant, the more boring this flatbread with greens is here. It's as if the restaurants specifically exclude herbs that give at least a minimal sharpness, burning, fragrant.
Hummus and mutabal are served with vegetable straws in a modern way, not with tortillas. Honestly, it would taste better with pita bread. But the figures of the visitors will say thank you.
Cavourma roll - baked vegetables, greens, pieces of meat (much softer and more pleasant than the day before with noodles, cavourmier got another one, apparently), like a premium restaurant shawarma.
The restaurant deserves attention for trying to create something original based on traditional cuisine, and you can go for a glass of raspberry. But there is something for the kitchen to work on.

The food is delicious, the raspberry wine is excellent. The waitress Lusine is friendly and sociable,
they asked to change 20,000 drams. The waitress took the money and said she would find out now. She returned with a cup containing the bill and money. She said there was no change. My mistake is that I didn't check it. Later I found out that 10,000 drams had been returned.
I do not recommend it.
