If you find yourself in Istiklal, there are a lot of gastronomic temptations in front of you, and your eyes run away from the variety of cafes and restaurants. Some establishments also meet several times. For example, there are 4 Mado restaurants on Istiklal at once)) But it's great! Mado is a large chain of Turkish restaurants, characterized by high-quality dishes and a variety of desserts. But they have a huge competitor in terms of desserts. I do not know if it is possible to indicate the names of its competitors in the review of the institution, so I will say this: the most famous dessert and sweets chain in Istanbul, named after the founder. Mado - blue. The second ones are red. It's based on the color of the signage. So, if you only want desserts or takeaway sweets, you can choose between two tablets: red and blue (I recommend red). And if it's not just desserts, then I definitely recommend Mado. You will like the establishment 100% if: 1 - you are conservative and agree only to proven places. 2 - do you want a European menu or are you planning to combine traditional Turkish dishes with more familiar ones. 3 - look for a place to sharpen a huge steak, being sure of its freshness. 4 - you are squeamish and the main criterion is cleanliness. 5 - you don't like figuring out where to eat every time, and you would like to eat in one place, but with different dishes. It may seem to you that the cafe is very small, and there are no seats there. Don't rush to leave. Almost all the establishments of the chain occupy an entire house! Go deeper into the room, there are stairs and an elevator. There is an open veranda on the upper floor. Prices in the chain's establishments are slightly above average. But they are quite justified. I have never regretted the lira I spent. The case when the price fully corresponds to the quality. Important! The prices are not listed in the menu. There are only delicious pictures and short descriptions of the dishes. All prices are written on a separate sheet and inserted into the cover. For convenience, I advise you to look at the menu on the Internet - on the Mado website. There are pictures and prices there. It's easier to navigate this way. There is no need for a one-on-one service. It really affects which cafe you go to, and which waiter you find. But I've never encountered anything critical. But I don't really like the fact that the 10% service fee is already included in the bill.

The company visited the Mado cafe on January 3, 2020 at the address: Istanbul, Beyoglu, Istiklal Cad., 121. Ordered ice cream, three types. And really, as many people write, it's delicious. But in one piece, pistachio, glass caught on the tooth, a piece about 5-6mm in size. They showed the waiter, they apologized, but to be honest, I expected that at least they would delete this position from the check. Be careful.

It looks beautiful, they behave as if everything is top notch. It was not possible to try, three weeks after the purchase in sweets packed from the factory (the store also carefully packed them in a "vacuum"!) mold and insects appeared. The prices are much higher than anywhere else. I strongly advise you to avoid MADO.
