I came here to try thinking they have Mala Xiang Guo but it didn’t disappoint me. Malatan was very good. It was my first time so I can’t compare it against anything. But I liked it. The service and atmosphere were great.

This place unfortunately has nothing to do with the real malatang. If you seek to once again eat the heavenly soup that you tried in China and come here, you’ll leave disappointed. It what happened to me. The most annoying part is that the price is the same as in a real authentic place run by Chinese people that I often go to. I put tree stars because the workers here are really polite and nice, and the design and the atmosphere of the place is really nice. But is it real? No, absolutely no. Those who know will understand what I’m trying to say - there is no smell of China when you enter. The soup is no malatang whatsoever. I had to try and make it somewhat spicy and similar with what they got there but you can only go so far🥲🥲
