A very beautiful place! The map is marked incorrectly, the waterfall is higher up the river, it is in the photo. The unreal turquoise color of the water! The water, even in the hottest weather, is rarely above 10 °. It is forbidden to swim there, I think, because of the water temperature and the speed of the current, but I saw how on the other side of the river the local dipped completely into the icy water. We did not find a descent to the water, we would really like to refresh our hands and feet in the heat. The entrance price is 10 lire per person or 1.5€ for two (sort of). You can get from Side (Evrenseki) with transfers only.

Here is a photo of the "lower" waterfall from June 12, 2025, the water drop threshold is minimal, only locals and hikers like us know) You can walk from the center of Manavgat. The place is littered, not worth a visit. But if you walk 3.6 km along this side of the river to the upper threshold of the waterfall, you are a real tourist and explorer and you will have the best view of the waterfall, free of charge and without crowds!

That's why people make mistakes, wasting their tour time. I made a mistake myself and I've seen others like it. We were in 2019. There is a town of Manavgat next to the Side resort. It got its name in honor of a beautiful mountain river that originates in the Taurus Mountains and flows into the Mediterranean Sea. On this river, which flows through the whole city, there is a waterfall, which is the main local attraction. The waterfall is located in a river valley in the middle of a small forest park. It has a modest height of 2 meters, but an impressive width of 40 m. Tourists are very surprised when they find out that this seemingly natural landmark is actually man-made. The waterfall is an artificial dam that was created in this place for hydraulic purposes. It is necessary for the normal functioning of the Oymapinar mountain reservoir. The water in it has an emerald hue due to its saturation with iron. Here is a playground with water from a waterfall where you can wash your feet. The temperature is 10-13 degrees.
