I recently embarked on an extended stay in Uzbekistan and had the pleasure of exploring various hostels along the way. However, my experience at Manija surpassed all expectations, making it an unforgettable part of my journey. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality, which set the tone for an incredible stay. One of the first aspects that impressed me was the impeccable cleanliness of the hostel. The rooms, common areas, and facilities were spotless, creating an inviting and hygienic environment. The attention to detail in maintaining a high level of cleanliness was truly commendable. The hostel's location proved to be a strategic choice, as it offered easy access to numerous markets and local bazaars and very nearby Samarkand train station. Exploring the vibrant neighborhood became a delightful daily ritual. The bustling atmosphere and the array of diverse shops and stalls added to the charm of the area, allowing me to immerse myself in the local culture. What truly stood out during my stay was the range of amenities available at the hostel. The provision of cooking facilities, including stoves and fridges, meant that I could prepare my meals whenever I pleased. Additionally, the availability of hot water for drinks added a comforting touch, especially during colder days. These thoughtful amenities made me feel right at home and allowed me to save both time and money. it was the exceptional staff at Manija hostel who truly made my experience unforgettable. Led by the amazing Firuza, the hotel manager, the team went above and beyond to ensure that I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Their friendly and helpful nature created a welcoming atmosphere, and they were always ready to assist me with any queries or recommendations.

Great hostel… rather call it boutique hostel. Charming guest relations and very clean.

Accommodation is a complete disappointment. There are no disposable shampoos, soap, or other hygiene products — there is nothing to wash your hands with. Instead, they give out one pill “for everything,” which only causes confusion. We haven't changed a towel in three days. Liquid soap is completely absent. Showers and toilets are shared by everyone — both men and women go to the same rooms. This creates intense discomfort and a complete lack of privacy. All accommodation is extremely inconveniently organized: the bedrooms are separate, the facilities are separate, like in some kind of lower-level hostel. The staff is rude and unfriendly. Of the entire shift, only one adult woman speaks Russian at least somehow. Booking is chaos. We arrived as a group of 40 people, and 10 people just stayed on the street without seats, despite the confirmed reservation. The rooms are tiny and isolated, and the building literally shakes when large cars pass by. This is not a hotel, but a set of capsules for sleeping in communal conditions. I do not recommend it under any circumstances.
