The ancient building of the 18th century has been perfectly preserved to this day. It should be noted right away that the capacity of the auditorium is small - only 600 people. But, given the size of Malta, this is quite enough for a full-fledged "honest rest" - it was for this purpose that the theater was built, and even the inscription above the entrance telling us about it has been preserved. The theater hall is imbued with the spirit of antiquity. The atmosphere is cozy, no tension. The interior is designed in a classic style. The seats are upholstered in green. The atmosphere is even more intimate. Apparently, the small size makes itself felt. Downstairs, almost in the basement, there are restrooms. It's a little cramped, but it's clean. The only nuance that slightly "spoiled" the evening of acquaintance with the theater is that for a long time we could not find it among the literally "molded" buildings of Valletta! And this is no wonder, since we were looking for the theater in the way we used to contemplate it: a grandiose structure with columns and a large courtyard area. We forgot a little about the tiny size of the island and about saving space. We were pleasantly surprised when we found the theater, after all, and discovered its hidden, invisible to the eye, in general, dimensions. It didn't reach the buffet, but there is a pizzeria nearby where you can have a cheap snack or just have a cup of coffee before the performance.
