The official name is the Masjidi Jami Cathedral or Friday Mosque, an architectural monument dating from 1399-1404 in Samarkand, the grandiose Tamerlane Cathedral Mosque, richly decorated with tiles, carved marble and murals. It was restored from the ruins at the end of the XX century. The monument is located on Islam Karimov Street.
