They don't pay by card, but they didn't find it appropriate to write it on plain paper when you enter the supermarket. They tell you that when you say I'll pay with a card, i.e.since you've already put groceries in the bag. What's worse (or best), when I tried to pay with a card connected to a mobile app, it passed! Total doodles. The woman who worked at the cash register when I rebelled, still says to me, "what else do you want us to tell you not to do electronic payment, all kinds of things"?;?! That's all.
