MEGA Center in Almaty is one of the go-to malls for both shopping and entertainment. It’s large, modern, and has a very diverse range of stores and activities — great for a full afternoon or evening out. If you’re okay with crowds and don’t mind paying a little extra for brand names and comfort, MEGA is definitely worth a visit.

This is perhaps the oldest mall in Almaty. Kind of large but not gigantic, walkable. Popular brands are represented. There a couple of supermarkets. There are cafes, restaurants, and coffee shops, a few playgrownds for kids, a movie theater, banks, a printing office, small shops and even a craft fair. Very well known for locals and tourists. The downside is very crowded on weekends.
