On the facades of the Children's Art School building at 3 Suvorova Street in Vitebsk, you can see a whole gallery of memorabilia to famous personalities whose fate was connected with the Vitebsk Art College. One of the plaques is dedicated to the national writer of Belarus Vasil Bykov. The bronze plaque, which is a stylized frame in the form of an arch, inside which is placed a portrait of the writer and a flying stork as a symbol of Belarus, was inaugurated on September 25, 2008. The authors of the composition are Vitebsk sculptors Valery Moguchy and Alexander Gvozdikov. There is an inscription on the board in Belarusian: "Gatym budynku from 1939 to 1940, the year of the people of Belarus was born." The future writer studied at the sculpture department here in 1939-1940. An interesting solution to the plaque and its implementation.
