A beautiful windmill. The mill was built of red brick on the bank of an artificial moat connecting Orshitsa with the Dnieper River in 1902 in the neo-Gothic style with elements of pseudo-Russian style. At the same time, a single-span arch bridge was built across the moat. For a long time it was used as a warehouse, and in 1992 it was transferred to the Department of culture. Since then, an ethnographic museum has been located here. In its exposition, you can get acquainted with the household culture of the inhabitants of the region, handicrafts. This is one of the most important places in Orsha that is worth a visit.

It's a very wonderful place. There are discounts for beneficiaries. Even though we didn't book the tour, the staff went to meet us. We were really a big group. For an hour and a half, the children listened with their mouths open, which, in principle, is difficult to achieve from them. It was also very interesting for adults. The warmest memories of the visit and best wishes to the staff.

The best museum dedicated to the history of crafts up to the 19th century that I have come across. In the small space of two floors, it is very compact and at the same time all crafts are fully represented. The 40-minute tour is very exciting and everything is clear in the express mode. The children are interested. I highly recommend taking a guided tour - the cost is 15 Belarusian rubles. About 500 Russian. Many thanks to the staff!

The watermill is a monument of hydraulic engineering construction. The building was built in 1902 on an artificial canal connecting the Orshitsa River with the Dnieper, in a complex with an arched bridge and a 50 horsepower water engine, which made the mill one of the largest in the then Mogilev province. Since 1995, the Mlyn Ethnographic Museum has been located in the building. A great place to visit.

A wonderful place, a memorable landmark. When we went inside, we were offered either to walk and see for ourselves, or to take a guided tour. We took the tour and listened with great pleasure from beginning to end. The guide talked very interestingly and showed the exhibits. Thank you for having such a place!

Visible from afar. It's not the oldest architecture, but still, it's been more than a century for 25 years. The red brick seems to radiate comfort and warmth or something. Ali, these are already such associations. Well, I don't know, the smells of all kinds of buns immediately came to my mind, the creak of the wheel... In general, it's a standard set of things that were put into my head at school. Everyone probably has their own thing. There is a museum inside.

The museum is OPEN on schedule! Cash payment!!! Excellent museum! The main thing is to take a ticket with an excursion (for a group of 1 to 15 people, only 12 bel.rub., I think it's very cheap). The guide presented the information in a very fascinating, positive and interesting way! Without an excursion, the expositions will not be clear and it will be possible to say that they wasted 2.5bel.rub. per person for admission. You need to pay for photo and video shooting separately. I forgot to take a photo because of the fascinating stories

An impressive three-story watermill building, it feels like it's about to start working. Inside the ethnographic museum, you can learn a lot about the life of Belarusian peasants in the past centuries. They only accept cash.

A charming little museum. Two floors. We arrived without an excursion, but a very nice lady (apparently the caretaker) told us a lot and showed us. The museum left pleasant impressions. We were even allowed to take pictures in national costume, which was a nice addition.

Great museum, nice staff. Good decoration of the halls, unfortunately there was no time for a full-fledged tour (which I regret, I hope it will work out next time). Except that plastic windows in an old building look a little alien.

We were the first to arrive, and there was no one else. The museum is small, but I really liked it! Antique items, embroidered towels, clothes, figures... We were very impressed! And I really liked the price - 5 rubles

Everyone is "photographing" a Bronze Age grain grinder But I was impressed by this "wheel" of samsara))) The photo does NOT convey energy. Along the way, it is necessary to go to the mill!!! to see this work. There is a concomitant entourage))

The most beautiful place in the city. If you will be in Orsha, then I advise you to visit. Before staying there, we stopped at a ruined mill by the road, and were pleasantly surprised that there is an analog in Orsha itself, which has been restored and made more accessible to tourists)

The museum "Mlyn", in my opinion, is the most attractive in Orsha. The building retains the architecture of the 19th-early 20th century from the outside and inside. The museum is currently under renovation. On the ground floor there was a permanent exhibition dedicated to peasant life. The second floor is more interesting. The impression is enhanced by climbing the stairs directly from the hall on the ground floor. There was an exhibition of the Belarusian national costume, in the center there was an exposition imitating the situation in a peasant's house. A lot of changing exposures

Even a 3-year-old baby listened to half of the tour)) I will not give any spoilers, visit for yourself. You will like it! * the photo does not characterize the exposure, but these views ...)))

I really liked the museum. There are two floors inside. The exhibition presents peasant tools, household items, many different handbrakes with embroidery and lace, peasant costumes. Photography inside must be paid separately (2 rubles summer 2023). Tickets can only be paid in cash. There are ancient stone millstones at the entrance to the street. Well, the museum itself looks like a mill. The museum is open three days a week.

It's not worth going to Orsha specifically to see this miracle of engineering), but if you're passing through, then of course the mill and the Collegium are the main attractions of the city and worthy of a visit.

The Ethnographic Museum. The inscriptions are in Belarusian. 2 floors, 2 halls. It is not informative enough without a tour. A beautiful view from the back side, where the mill wheel is placed, but already in the form of a decoration.
