The building of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus is a historical building of the mid-20th century in Minsk, an architectural monument. The building was built in the style of Stalinist neoclassicism. The building is four-storeyed, with a high ground floor (side extensions are five-storeyed). The main facade is decorated with a number of massive semi-columns for the entire height of the building. The walls of the facade are rusticated to a height of two floors. The developed entablature has a toothed shape, repeating the massive bases of the columns, whose height is more than 2 meters. A large prominent cornice is supported by brackets in the form of volutes. In the center of the facade there is a relief coat of arms of the BSSR. Inside, the building has a corridor layout with a two-sided arrangement of rooms. The staircases are decorated with columns and pilasters, the ceilings are decorated with stucco rosettes. A large two-light meeting room is located in the middle part of the building, between the courtyards. Its walls are dissected by flat pilasters with an arched belt, and the suspended ceiling is decorated with stucco ornaments with alternating octagonal and square elements.
