A wonderful cultural heritage site.
Beautifully restored buildings, interiors and the territory with a tomb. With a radio guide, the tour turns out to be quite informative. In my opinion, it is better to visit the Castle not as part of a group, but individually, in a free schedule, so you can see all the museum halls and corners of the castle, and at the end of the tourist day, drive to the village of Mir itself and visit the restored Catholic Church on the square and the Orthodox Church opposite it, they have wonderful female caretakers, Each of them told us a lot more interesting things about their churches, about the World, and about the Secular Castle...

An impressive place. I heartily advise you to visit. Majestic, beautiful, interesting.
My advice is to take a guided tour. Our tour of the castle was intense and informative, and I liked the guide. The castle itself impresses with its architecture. (I liked it better than Nesvizh Castle).
You will have to walk a lot on steep and narrow stairs, be prepared for this. Speaking of stairs, you can climb the observation tower (you'll have to climb a SUPER steep staircase very high), but if you have the strength and desire, I advise you to climb.

A beautiful castle, there are interesting historical expositions inside, various activities take place (we were on New Year's Eve, there was a children's ball). On the downside: the aisles are cramped, and if there is a large influx of visitors, it is not always possible to get close enough to see the exhibits. The guides are focused on "fast service", there is no time for questions. Perhaps it's just that we didn't go well... But, on the whole, the overall impression of visiting the castle remained pleasant!

We were on vacation in Minsk, we decided to arrange an excursion to this castle, a gorgeous place, and from the outside inside, the museum is cool, the exhibits are interesting. I was very pleased with the restaurant - borscht is above all praise . For the first time in my life, I tried draniki with sausages, it turns out now I love draniki🙂 A good souvenir shop in the castle, the prices are reasonable- especially for tinctures 😉

A magnificent complex, beautiful, with a rich history!
We were incredibly lucky with the weather, we appreciated the beauty of the complex)
I highly recommend you to visit!
I also recommend that you find out before visiting if there will be any historical reconstruction activities in the complex at the time of the visit! It was great, and it noticeably brightened up the impression of the castle, which was spoiled by the sleepy guide.
Alas, the wonderful impression was completely ruined by the org part.:
❌The reservation was made in March, the promotion was indicated in the form of a 5% discount on the cost of the order for an earlier booking - they refused (the reservation for April 28, BEFORE the May holidays, was justified by the May holidays);
The day before, when confirming the trip ( 04.27), it became clear that an advance payment was required (the original offer assumed payment on the spot).
Now (logically, before the May holidays) this has been removed from the site in the description and a 100% prepayment is indicated.
Apparently, I shouldn't have paid attention to the obvious rudeness and canceled the reservation (and it was too late to change anything on the trip itself...)
The group size is not specified ( 50 people- figure it out for you or not)
The cherry on the cake was that my husband poisoned himself with lunch during the trip and had been suffering from fever, digestive disorders and feeling unwell for the last 1.5 days.
1.5 days out of 4 days of vacation!!!!
Belindtrevel said that we were making everything up (you're the only one who applied!)...
Or tactfully share the problem caused by the organizer's fault- not okay, you definitely have to dirty the bus and ruin the trip for everyone who was nearby???
I don't understand this story of the magical art of "zhrichodali"...
Let's go fix the problem to the doctor...
Choose an independent visit or carefully choose an individual tour!

The exposition is gorgeous, I have never seen such museums before, there are a lot of exhibits, both originals and very high-quality reconstructions. The number of halls, galleries, towers, stairs and basements is simply off the charts! everything is furnished with respect and professionalism!
But a very important point is that all Worldly catering is focused on the maintenance of organized excursions, and in most cases, when you go in for a snack, you will see the sign "Special Service", we were not able to have lunch...

A great day at the castle.
We booked a hotel in the castle itself for a day. Very beautiful area around. The hotel is cozy and comfortable.
I didn't book the tour in advance, we bought an audio guide - it's not very interesting. The tour is like one big story, and the audio guide tells you about the exhibits individually - book the tour in advance.
A very atmospheric restaurant in the castle itself.

The castle itself is beautiful! It is definitely worth visiting there, but with an excursion, because our guide, taking us through the rooms of the castle, colorfully, with what love and humor she talked about the castle, its history and owners. Thank her very much! But please remove the female caretaker in the courtyard of the castle, she was sitting on 04/23/2025 at the exit of the stairs and was very rude to me when I tried to go up the stairs, although it was possible to calmly and politely show me the entrance. My mood was ruined, and so was my impression.

We arrived at the castle in early November, the weather was not very good, the wind was strong, but it was warm and comfortable inside. We had a group tour with a guide. The tour is very interesting, there was no unnecessary and boring information, during the tour we were not tired or tired. The 500-year-old walls inside the castle were very impressive. After completing the guide's story, we explored the remaining halls on our own. The ticket price includes a visit to the prison room in the basement of the castle, you can climb two towers. When climbing up, there is a very narrow space where one person can fit, so we had to wait for the flow of people descending, and then climb further. The steps are high, the staircase is spiral, you need to climb very carefully. There were additional expositions on the floors that can be studied, and at the very last level of the tower there is a beautiful view. There is a souvenir shop, a restaurant on the territory of the castle, and the Mir Park with a chapel around the castle. I liked everything very much, I advise everyone to visit!

A place that leaves an unforgettable impression. I am very glad that we visited there. The castle has been restored. The thick old walls are included in the UNESCO heritage. The interior is very beautifully restored. You can walk along the defensive walls, go down to the basement where the prison was, and be sure to go to the chapel outside the territory. You can even stay overnight and have lunch! I definitely recommend visiting the castle.

The castle is very interesting! We visited on the way from Minsk to Brest on 12.26.24. If desired and possible, you can spend the whole day. Renovated interiors, rich exposition. Curious ascents in the towers. Competent guides, courteous staff. The area around is clean and well maintained, despite the large number of people. There is a Church of St. Nicholas not far from the castle, I also recommend a visit. The only point, try to set aside a whole day for inspection. For the sake of 2 castles (Mirsky and Nesvizh), he persuaded the family to leave St. Petersburg. And it was worth it. An excellent castle, a great place to visit. The only problem was to visit 2 castles (Mir and Nesvizh) in a row. We spent 3 hours in Mirsky. There are a lot of spiral staircases, places where you can sit and explore, feel the old way of life, put on armor and fence (try in such heavy armor)). The children were very tired, but they were satisfied. Mir Castle is gorgeous. It reminded me of the castle of Amboise from France, the same medieval, honest, chivalrous. Class. I definitely recommend it!

The place is beautiful, interesting, and not at all overheated. The interiors are no less impressive than the exterior of the building. Music is playing in the courtyard - late medieval - the Witcher's musical theme. The restorers are great, they did their best, it was done carefully, efficiently and with respect for the history of this place. The area around the castle is well maintained, with beautiful architectural and landscape design. It is a very beautiful place, the views are wonderful all around, the castle is reflected in the lake.
The interior has also been restored, there are few exhibits of their own, they are trying to restore and redeem the found objects that once belonged to the owners of the castle. A lot still depends on the guide, ours was very enthusiastic himself, but he couldn't get us carried away (there is too much haphazard information, the thread of the narrative is quickly lost).
But I advise you to visit the castle, it will also be interesting for children, you can climb through narrow passages, basements and towers.

It was in September. Very twofold feelings after the visit. It is incredibly beautiful outside, a large territory, a pond and a majestic castle.
After entering the territory, we went to see an exhibition of wax figures. I saw it for the first time, creepy and beautiful. Judith was especially impressed.
I felt very sad about the castle. A completely commercial project. An awkward renovation that doesn't look anything like a renovation. Cheap ceramic tiles with strange and inappropriate decorations, chrome handrails. A huge amount of strange and ridiculous light. Lanterns and spotlights at every turn.
Crowds of people who can't move around the towers, queues of 20-30 minutes. There are no representatives of the administration along the way of inspection, no one oversees or distributes the flow of people.
I appreciated the furniture, which is partially represented in the castle, it's definitely worth a look.
I repeat, it is very sad. It would seem that such a serious part of Belarusian culture, historical heritage.... Ehh...

The beauty is indescribable. A very soulful place with a rich history. If possible, then go on a guided tour (they are often held). No one is limited in time, go at least several times on the same route. The caretakers in the halls can also suggest interesting things (if you talk to them, they get bored standing all day). You can just read about the history of the castle and its many owners and arrive loaded. Take the children.

One of the most famous castles in Belarus. A must-visit. Concise and brutal. At the same time, it is majestic. There is a well-groomed territory with a pond around, you can walk and enjoy the beauty, visit the chapel located here on the territory of the castle. In the evening, from 22.00 to 23.00, the backlight turns on, which gives additional atmosphere to the castle.
There is a hotel on the territory of the castle. If possible, be sure to spend the night in the castle. But keep in mind that you need to book rooms in advance (all detailed information is available on the official website of the Mir Castle). We booked 2 nights in the hotel in advance and did not regret it at all. Very comfortable and atmospheric room. They felt like a kind of princes or counts. Special thanks to the hotel staff - very polite and pleasant.
There is also a Princely Courtyard restaurant on the territory of the castle. Be sure to try the dishes of this restaurant. Sometimes, due to the crowded nature, you will have to wait 30-35 minutes for the dish, but believe me it's worth it. The serving of the dishes and the taste of the dishes themselves are gorgeous!!
In general, I definitely recommend visiting Mir Castle!!!

The castle is beautiful, but its staff and administration are minus 100 stars. If you are going to visit it, just take a walk around or in the courtyard, there is no point in taking tickets for excursions, spoil your mood. The ascents to the towers are not controlled by employees in any way, people go back and forth themselves, create traffic jams, if you go up to the tower, you can go down when the flow of ascenders ends, and since no one controls them at the bottom, it can take a long time.... Then the museum, we did not get into it, to get there we need to remove outerwear, and in order to put it in the wardrobe, you have to stand in a giant queue. When I asked the staff of this complex to solve this problem, they replied: "we already have two cloakroom staff, what can we do?"
It's definitely worth visiting this place, the photos will be great, there's nothing to see inside, it's better to buy a souvenir.

Hello, I liked everything, the castle was restored, everything was done so that people would come and watch. Description of all exhibits in Belarusian and English. Russian speakers mostly come to you, but there is not a single description in Russian. A separate story about the museum staff, I can say that I have not seen such rudeness since the Soviet era. I was a witness, I did not participate myself. A woman approached a museum employee and asked where she should go next, a seemingly banal question, you can usually answer or show with your hand which way to go. But the castle employee is not a fool, it is unlikely that you will feel the intonation of the voice with which you answered, but I will try to convey it. Don't you see this sign, it's all in front of your eyes. The woman replied, no, she did not see it. We need to look better, an ordinary museum employee replied. What happens in the mind is not clear. These are the people who don't even touch you, spoil the positive effect of visiting establishments. And I was in a good mood, and it remained good, but the impression was spoiled.

The castle is very interesting. This is an object with a very rich history. It has survived several epochs, many owners, was part of different countries, absorbed the culture of various peoples.
The castle itself seemed relatively small, but with a fairly large exposition. It is well maintained both inside and outside. It is surrounded by a small park pleasant for walking.
It makes sense to use the services of a guide. A good storyteller will "enliven" the expositions. For a full-fledged bypass, you will need to move between floors, including along narrow stairs. He carried his four-year-old son up the stairs in his arms.
The castle is guaranteed to appeal to fans of history, medieval times, and military themes.
Running in a hurry, you can inspect the castle in half a day and leave, for example, for Nesvizh. Getting to know each other can take a whole day. You can have a snack and relax a little here.

It has been more than a week since we returned from a trip to Belarus. And I'm still under a pleasant impression. We were in a car, we found the castle complex quickly, and the navigator led us to the right place. There were also no problems with parking. The castle itself is gorgeous, the tour is informative and interesting. The staff are competent and polite. Everything is thought out to the smallest detail. The only problem with Wi-Fi. The only way to get a signal to set up the navigator was at a local hotel. The castle is interesting for both adults and children. We got in well and saw a theatrical performance of warriors in the courtyard. We went to the tomb church of the princes of the World. We took a walk in the park. We admired the pond. We took beautiful photos. We took an independent tour of the castle walls (very high and steep ascents, my husband climbed to the topmost tier without me, but the views from the top are very beautiful!) and a guided tour of the exhibits inside the castle. One of the most beautiful and interesting places in our country.
A beautiful park and a pond right next to the castle, many different birds.
An interesting history of the castle, I advise you to read it if you decide to visit.
In summer, various events and even concerts are held on the territory - see the poster, you can combine it with a visit to the castle.
If you take a blanket or a blanket with you, you can sit on the shore of the reservoir, watch the birds and nature and admire the castle.
Among the disadvantages, food is very poorly organized on the territory next to the castle, tents with food / water. There is little choice, mostly snacks or a long wait for food, so be prepared for this.
There is a toilet, but it is paid, which is strange because you have already paid for admission.

After the renovation, the castle was pleased. Everything is very beautiful. And the area along the pond was put in order. The only thing that upset me was that there are very few expansions when you climb the wall and towers. The stairs are very steep, I was very afraid of heights, I did not go up to the very last floor, but those who were there said that it was empty.. there is an ordinary staircase that rises to half the height (on the wall), but it was made only for descending, which is a pity... Well, the halls in the usual halls were pleased, everything is very beautiful and interesting. There are atmospheric cafes in the basement (the children ate nuggets with French fries there, and we ordered chebureks), and a restaurant. There is an elevator in the main lobby (but I understand it is for the disabled), The overall impression is good. Tickets are not cheap... But you can choose what you want to attend. For small children, the lift is free. There is a souvenir shop on the first floor, where we bought a Crambambula (a family holiday was just planned). There are also tents with souvenirs near the parking lot, we bought magnets and bracelets, the dishes are very expensive. Almost everyone works only with cash. And one more nuance that we did not immediately understand... The toilet at the entrance to the complex is paid... And the building downstairs is free (you can go there without a ticket). There are also large pavilions on the Shchamkov territory where food is prepared (for example, kebabs). If one of the relatives or an acquaintance comes from afar, then a visit to the Mir Castle at home will definitely be included in the visit))
