The place is quite nice, but at that time there was a wedding and a lot of people who clearly prevented you from enjoying the atmosphere. The views are wonderful. It's better not to come on weekends. Paid parking.

A place of peace and tranquility. We forgot the headscarves, they gave us everything. We arrived when the wedding was taking place. It's not a big room inside, but it's beautiful. The courtyard is large. There is a stunning view of the canyon.

An amazing place, calm and quiet. Here you can feel the special energy that you gain and gain physical and spiritual strength. You get fed up with a good upbeat mood and peace of mind. I don't even want to leave here. I want to sit and listen to the silence . Here, on the green rocks, there is a temple in which eternity, regularity and peace reign. A must-visit!

It's a beautiful place. The monastery is well built in a picturesque location overlooking the river, stands on a cliff. There are a lot of tourists here on summer weekends. It's an obscene amount, and it can ruin the impression. It is better to come out of season on weekdays. Parking costs 2 GEL. If you're lucky enough to visit it :)

The monastery of Motsameta, or the monastery of Saints David and Constantine (whose relics rest within the walls of the temple), is located in the vicinity of Kutaisi on a picturesque mountain ledge above the Rioni River. The first church here was built in the VIII century, later destroyed during the invasion of the Arab Caliph Marwan II. In the XI century, by order of Tsar Bagrat III, a new church was built, within the walls of which a monastery was founded, called Motsameta (translated as "martyrs"). In 2010, a major restoration of the monastery was carried out - a good road to the temple was paved, the walls were repaired, and the surrounding area was improved. The monastery is decorated with round turrets, on which rise pointed domes, immersed in greenery. There is an observation deck on the territory of the monastery, which offers a picturesque view of the gorge.
