The Wreath fountain was opened in 1972 in the park of the Belarusian poet Yanka Kupala, who used the Wreath as his pseudonym. And where else would you place such a poetic composition, if not in the poet's park? Now it is one of the visiting cards of the capital, at least in its lyrical guise. Rain met us near the fountain and the fountain was turned off, but after a while the rain stopped and the fountain jets started again, watering the beautiful girls who were lowering wreaths into the water. On the night of Ivan Kupala (July 6-7), girls weave wreaths of herbs and let them float on the water, wondering about their fate, especially marriage. That's how the Ivan Kupala festival is constantly held in Yankee Kupala Park.
