A very important, iconic and majestic place. It is worth visiting for the sake of outdoor equipment, there is more of it than in the museum of the Great Patriotic War, the kurgan itself, the views from which are magnificent at any time of the day and the landscaped park. But of course, it's better to do all this during the day, because the stairs to the top are not illuminated and it may not be safe. Well, it's best to get there by car, because there are no paths or crossings to the nearest stops and they are far away, and you shouldn't count on the one near the kurgan itself in the evening.

A great place, amazing in its energy. A place where Victory is felt. Not the horrors of war, not blood, sweat and tears, not the black smoke of concentration camps – but the spring, light and bright feeling that good is stronger than evil, that light is stronger than darkness. Being on top of the mound, every time (and I am a frequent visitor here) I think that all these horrors, blood, sweat and tears, all these concentration camps – everything was not in vain, not in vain, not meaningless. That is why the Mound of Glory is one of the most inspiring places dedicated to Victory that I have personally visited. Keep in mind that it will not be easy for people with weak knees to climb up: they will have to walk all the way to the mound from the parking lot, and up the steps. Plus, it's always very windy at the top (compared to the bottom), so if you plan to visit in the cooler season, dress warmly. But the view from the upper landing is so indescribable that it is worth any difficulties. There is a small open–air museum of military equipment nearby - guns, tanks, airplanes... the equipment itself must not be touched, but only adults pay attention to this rule. It's difficult to keep kids from climbing on a combat vehicle. There is a small cafe, but it was never possible to have a snack there (it was open, but there was no desire), although it was open. We only used a vending machine for selling souvenirs. There is ample parking near the memorial site. There is an underground toilet at the far end of the parking lot - clean, bright, odorless, lots of cubicles, everything is working. The park around the memorial (dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Victory) is also spot on (except perhaps for an artificial lake, which for some reason is constantly drained). In general, the way the territory of the complex is maintained is admirable. Everything is perfect, just like in the picture. There are not many places in Belarus that should be visited, if possible, by those for whom memory is dear, for whom it is not an empty sound. The Mound of Glory is certainly one of them.

The long-suffering Belarus was not spared by any of the great wars in Europe. Being in its geographical center, Belarus has always found itself in the epicenter of military events. The Mound of Glory is a monument from the Soviet era, laid in the late 60s of the last century in memory of the Minsk Cauldron, the battle of the Great Patriotic War, in which a 150,000-strong army of fascists was encircled. Returning from Khatyn, where we were on an excursion, we stopped at the Kurgan, went upstairs, examined, and the children also toured the exhibits of military equipment, had coffee in a cafe. Those who love the history of their country should visit here.
