July 25
They were raised on July 24, 2025. It became cool only at the top, there was a wind at night, but someone remained in a T-shirt and shorts, in which he walked all the way, we took 2 blankets from a Bedouin for $ 4, we can bargain with them. The mountain and the views from it are worth climbing all night, it is an unforgettable sight. Especially the clearest starry sky, we saw stones and made wishes. Please take food for cats and dogs, they are very hungry and no one else can feed them there, the animals are fighting even for a piece of bread. We took several cans of canned fish for the cats the day before, and the dogs had to give the rest of the lunchbox from the hotel. By the way, be sure to take lunch boxes at the hotel the day before, so as not to stay hungry, and plenty of water. We took 4 bottles with us, but we had to buy 3 more on the mountain, because we were thirsty all the way + we poured water for the animals, they want to drink no less than they want to eat. You can make a lot of stops on the climb, if you can, and not chase your group. As a result, we overtook the group and were one of the first to reach the top, and then we went down on our own with other people, there was no energy to wait until everyone gathered for the descent. The climb is difficult, especially the part with the steps, which you will have to overcome yourself, as camels will not take you to the top, the steps are very steep and narrow. After descending, everyone is taken to Catherine's monastery, but we just looked at it, bought food there and boarded the bus, as we were very tired + sleepless night, waited an hour before the monastery opens (it opens at 9, and we went down at 8 a.m.) and walked around it for another 40 minutes — there were no Neither we nor the group have the strength. In general, climbing Mount Moses is a powerful rush of endorphins, a feeling of happiness from overcoming, and a strong delight from the views. I recommend going and doing it at least once in my life, it's worth it.

Climbing the sacred Mount Sinai is an unforgettable adventure! This is one of those places that combines spirituality, natural beauty and amazing experiences. Mount Sinai is considered to be the place where Moses received the ten commandments from God. It is here that the events of the Old Testament unfold, related to the history of the Israeli people. The mountain is known for its spiritual significance and attracts pilgrims and tourists from all over the world. At the foot of the mountain is the monastery of St. Catherine, one of the oldest operating monasteries in the world. The famous library of ancient manuscripts, including unique scrolls and icons, is kept here. At the very top of the mountain there is a small chapel of the Holy Trinity, built by Byzantine monks in the 6th century. It symbolizes the importance of the place and allows visitors to feel connected to the ancient tradition of prayer and contemplation. The ascent of the mountain begins with a six-kilometer route along a picturesque serpentine. This path passes among the cliffs and spectacular views of the desert landscape. The last kilometer of the journey consists of a steep climb up 750 stone steps, known as the "stairs of repentance." The guide suggests completing this journey in two and a half hours, although many prefer to move more slowly, enjoying the views and atmosphere. For convenience, travelers can use the services of local Bedouins offering camel rentals before the start of the stairway section. However, it is important to remember that some sections of the road are narrow and require caution even when riding a camel. The top of the mountain offers stunning views of the surrounding area. The sunrise over the mountains is especially impressive, creating a unique play of light and shadow. The guide suggested a night trip to enjoy the starry sky and the morning spectacle. The route is unlit, so those who wish can purchase a flashlight at the entrance. During the hike, there are small cafes and shops where you can buy water, tea and souvenirs. Local Bedouins offer a variety of goods such as stones and handmade jewelry, which adds flavor to the journey. Thus, Mount Sinai is not just a tourist destination, but an opportunity to touch history and experience unique emotions shared by thousands of pilgrims and travelers every year.

We ascended Mount Sinai on the night of 11/8/2025. It is believed that on this mountain God gave Moses tablets with covenants. However, the exact place where this happened is not known, as the biblical stories related to Moses took place in the 14th century BC. There is no evidence that Moses climbed this particular mountain. Mount Sinai became known as Mount Moses after the 4th century AD, 17 centuries after the biblical events and when Christianity became the official religion. The views on the mountain are really good. On the downside: toilets for people everywhere are paid and the cost of admission is 1 dollar. The entire road to the top is littered with camels, except for the last steps to the top. At the top, the garbage is still piled up in bags and no one has cleaned it for a long time. It doesn't even smell like sanctity. Every 30-40 meters on the rise, local Bedouin businessmen are waiting for you, offering to ride a camel for $ 20.
