We attended a dance class for 3-year-olds. The waiting area is not adapted: flashing lights, a bench for three, it is impossible to be near the hall. They ask you not to sit in the room itself. During the absence of the main teacher, classes were conducted by the principal. We witnessed a raised tone (the door does not keep sound insulation), pressure on the child ("put your feet together" — with repetition and irritation), without taking into account age and physiological characteristics. After the lesson, the child came out in tears. When discussing the situation, we heard: "This isn't an entertainment center, she's just lazy." We consider such a formulation unacceptable: a three-year-old child cannot be "lazy." He either has a natural desire to interact with the teacher, or not — and this directly depends on the atmosphere, respect and a sense of security. Pressure and rudeness do not form motivation, but only reinforce rejection. Since when has rudeness been considered the norm in teaching? In our opinion, this is not strictness, but promiscuity and self-indulgence. Especially unacceptable when working with children. If the teacher thought it was too early at 3 years old, come at 3.5.... but no, the position was different. It is important to note that the child attended the first four classes with pleasure, once she watched the lesson from the "shelter" and was surprised how deftly the main teacher manages the process. After the fifth lesson (at the head of the director), I didn't even have to be dissuaded, I positively accepted the offer not to go there anymore. The director's daughter (about 5 years old) is also present in the hall, who intervenes in the process, shouts at other children and pushes. This raises questions about safety and ethics. We refused to take any further classes. The money for the remaining classes was returned, but there was a residue. Please pay attention to the style of communication with children and parents, as well as the organization of the space. Respect for a child's age, body, and emotional safety should be a priority.
