It is very interesting and informative. Three floors of expositions. There are many ancient and interesting exhibits. Household utensils, homespun clothes with Belarusian patterns from different regions of the country, old books with chants and much more! It's worth a visit, you won't regret it.

I visited the museum on August 22 as part of an excursion group. I liked the museum very much, there are many interesting and even unique exhibits. Of course, a lot depends on the work of the guide, and we were lucky: Alexander Sergeevich turned out to be our guide. He is a well-educated person with stylistically literate speech, a subtle sense of humor, and positive energy. The tour was held in one go. I recommend it!

A pleasant place, a cozy little museum. The time for inspection is a maximum of 1 hour.
It is better to take a guide at the ticket office, otherwise it is not clear what is there.
At the same time, it is better to read the history of the Old Believers in the Branch yourself beforehand, because there is not a word about it in the museum. The exposition and excursions did not touch on the history or the specifics of their religion at all.
This museum turned out to be exclusively about traditions, clothes, crafts and rural life. But it's still interesting and cute there.
There are, of course, several halls with icons, but to the question of "how do Old Believer icons differ from others?" the guide was confused and did not know what to answer. Although the question is quite in line with the profile and it is unlikely that we ask it first:)
But our guide - either from ignorance of the answer, or from embarrassment for a forbidden heretical topic - replied that "the Old Believers have more lively images" :))
Then, of course, they searched for answers on the Internet themselves... It turned out. that there are many answers and they are different :)) But all of them are interesting. It's a pity that we didn't do it before going to the museum...
As a result, I give 5 to the museum for the pleasant atmosphere and rare themes of the traditions of the Old Believers. To the guide - 3.
But you can't go there without a guide either:)
The final score is 4, i.e. it is worth a look if there is time.

A good museum about the history of the Branch, Old Believers, Belarusian traditions. Definitely worth a visit. You can walk around and see for yourself, you can use the audio guide in the application izi.Travel or you can listen to the guide. On the second floor of the museum there are towels, icons, salaries, kiosks. The beauty is indescribable!!!! Just an eye balm.

It is very interesting to visit! The entrance fee is 6p for an adult + 8p for a guide who walks with you and tells you everything. We were very surprised by the scale of the building. It doesn't look like a big building, but there are 3 floors of museum exhibits in the interior. The guide turned out to be a young man. To be honest, I was skeptical of him (he seemed too young to me ) and in the end I was surprised, I got the impression that he lives right in this museum, he told me very interestingly. I answered all the questions!

We were in Gomel and at the same time stopped at the Branch. The city is not far from Gomel, about 20 km away. There is a carved wooden gate near the entrance. The museum itself has interesting exhibits of Belarusian antiquity. A very pleasant museum with its own atmosphere. We really liked it. I recommend. After the museum, you can visit the local beach.

An amazing museum about amazing people and their history for more than three hundred years, who managed to preserve their faith, identity, develop talents of amazing icon painting and icon framing, created handwritten books showing how people lived 2-3 centuries ago, unique embroidery, woodcarving, etc. No thinking person can remain indifferent after visiting this extraordinary place. Sincere thanks to the creators of the museum and to everyone who preserves it and lovingly talks about its exhibits!

A great museum. A ticket for an adult is 3 rubles. Three floors. The first is the way of life of people, blacksmithing and woodworking, icon painting. On the second - embroidered towels, beaded and stamped salaries, old icons. There is a room with samovars, but it is not close to look, it is closed. On the third there is a book seal, window frames, crowns on the windows. You can take an audio guide, book an excursion. They work from 8.00- 18.00 There is a parking lot near the museum itself (opposite the construction store)

It contains the history, life and way of life of the Old Believers! And icons are something!
