A conceptually thought-out museum with interactive elements. It focuses on the history of the city, the Homeric epic and the history of excavations. There are not many exhibits, there are no masterpieces, but there is plenty of information. There is a terrace on the roof. A ticket to the museum allows you to visit Troy itself, which is located about a kilometer away.

The museum is simply amazing. As far as I remember, there are 5 floors and each is interesting in its own way. I recommend that you definitely visit anyone who will be in Turkey.

You can get to the Museum of Troy and the excavations by minibus, which does not run so often, or by car. The fare is 75 lire. Entrance to the museum (brown cube) 27 euros. And if you are a family, then this is an exorbitant amount! If you trot, you will get to the excavations, which leave more positive emotions. The ticket office is located next to the entrance to the museum and is quite far from the excavations. There are only parking spaces nearby and not a single bench. You will not see a Trojan horse, or maybe you will be lucky and a new one will be put together by your arrival. Where is the one that you can climb into - we have not found. Maybe he's far away on the road to Troy.

At the museum entrance, you are greeted by horse-sized unattended dogs, we seemed to be making a trip to India, an interesting experience. We were glad that we got in safely, and this time we were met with children's screams. It was already our mistake to expect the etiquette of visiting museums from our people. Wait, no one is saying shut up anyway. There are historical objects and Biennial works, they can be broken, but who cares? In summary, the revolutionary car was built, but no gasoline was put on the drinker.

The Museum of Troy is much more interesting than what remains of the city. If you are not an archaeologist or a historian, then there is absolutely no need to pay a lot of money to visit Troy itself. These are just paths among piles of stones, with inscriptions where everything was and in what century. You will be able to learn and see much more in the museum. The exposition occupies 4 floors (if memory serves me correctly) with examples, artifacts, interactive stands, very modern about the old days!!! In short, if you choose what to spend money on, I would definitely choose a museum, since there are still a huge number of more interesting ruins than Troy on the territory of modern Turkey. (All of this is exclusively my IMHO)
