It's a good place. A local boy is on duty there and tells and shows very well, do not spare 100 lira, you will learn a lot of new and unusual things

The Turkish city of the World is an ancient place with a difficult fate. According to one version, the town owes its name to the resin (myrrh) from which incense is produced, according to another version, the name of the town comes from the Etruscan word "Maura", which means "place of the mother goddess".
The town was repeatedly destroyed, but then it was built again.
Modern Demre is the center of Turkish pilgrimage for many Orthodox tourists. This is the city where St. Nicholas the Wonderworker lived and preached, which, by the way, is not by chance one of the symbols of this city.
It is located near the modern city of Demre, one hundred and forty kilometers from Antalya and one hundred kilometers from Kemer.

The amphitheater is impressive, and so is the amount of garbage. We spent a maximum of 20 minutes there, the entrance is 170 lira, very expensive. It's a shame that people behave like this in such an ancient structure and it's a shame that they don't even clean it for such money.

An impressive amphitheater and tombs, but most of them are closed, you can't go anywhere. In November 2022, the entrance is 90 lira, expensive, you will spend little time there.

The place is interesting and atmospheric. 90 lira (270 rubles at the exchange rate) is quite acceptable

A beautiful antique place. Amphitheater and tombs. You can walk around the amphitheater, climb to the top. But the tombs (where people lived) should not be disturbed.

45 lire is a bit expensive . The amphitheater for 10 thousand people is impressive. You can't go anywhere into the rocks. 30 minutes is the maximum time you can spend in this place
