I love this place. There are very few visitors, you can safely study the history of Armenian secular painting. A good collection of Hovnatanians, Aivazovsky, Vardkes Surenyants. The gallery's collection is also represented by a collection of Russian paintings of the second half of the 19th and first half of the 20th centuries.

You definitely need to take a guide, the gallery consists of 7 floors, with a guide (in 1:15) you can hardly have time to see 3 floors dedicated to the art of Armenian masters, but the overall impression will be received. By the way, the museum has a large number of paintings by Aivazovsky (the museum is the second in the world in terms of the number of his works, after the house museum in Feodosia).
