My elderly mother needed to undergo a procedure — to remove fluid from the knee joints and inject the drug. However, due to her age and anxiety, Mom felt insecure and needed support and detailed explanations. The doctor, instead of calmly explaining the course of the procedure, its necessity and effect, limited herself to referring to her mother's words about her alleged unwillingness to pump out the liquid. As a result, the fluid was not removed — according to the doctor, due to stiffness of the joints - and the drug was injected directly. But without explaining whether its effectiveness is decreasing or not. It is worth remembering that this is not a state polyclinic and each injection costs 1700 SOM + the cost of the drug. Neomed expected an appropriate level of professionalism, attentive attitude and professional implementation of the procedure. Unfortunately, I did not see the proper competence and interest in the result on the part of the specialist.
