The hotel is located in a picturesque peninsula and has a vast and pretty clean beach with soft white sand. Crossing the Bentota river in a boat to enter the hotel is fantastic experience. But to be honest the travellers must be aware that the hotel is shaggy and unclean, it requires renovation. I attach some pictures from the family room. The food in the restaurant tastes and looks good, but it's rather monotonous. No white wine available, only one type of red wine in the restaurant and in the bar. In the main restaurant the staff is concerned mostly about not letting any food be carried out by children rather than serving tables. You can't expect an extra clean fork or spoon, you will be advised to eat your desert with a dirty one. We kept on experiencing total blackout in the room (lights went off in the room several times every day without a certain reason), and we had to fix it. It was rather annoying. The water in the bathroom sink was not going through and stayed in the sink. Cigarette butts were not cleaned up at the sunbed area near the pool. I'm not too picky and demanding, but I can hardly recommend a hotel that fails to meet such basic expectations. Be it 3, 4 or 5 star. Sorry.

I have been staying at the hotel since 10/24/2025. The check-in was excellent! Everyone's passports were collected, and then the staff themselves came up with filled vouchers and escorted them to the room! We had everything included! They put on a red bracelet! At the bar, the workers pour only local drinks! After that, they ask for the room number and let them sign the receipt, where the price tag is 0 ! We did not buy tours from the guide! It 's expensive , there 's a local outside the hotel who speaks Russian very well ! We bought a safari bridge tour from him!110 $ per person! Beer bottles do not need to be thrown away, they are accepted in exchange for new beer! You can order a minibus with new friends and go to see and swim with turtles!in general, the food and rest turned out great!
