Noravank is located in the red rocks of Armenia, it impresses with its harsh beauty and almost vertical staircase to the second floor of the Church of St. Astvatsatsin (Mother of God). You need to come here for a breath of history (13th century!), fantastic landscapes and unique two-tiered architecture! My feeling is that I have touched eternity.

This is probably one of the most, the most that I liked in Armenia (although I liked a lot of things) .The road from Yerevan is not close, but it is interesting and beautiful.A particularly incredibly gorgeous picture begins after turning from the pass at the gorge through which the road passes.Be sure to come back and admire this beauty. The monostyr itself and the combination of red-red rocks makes this place especially charming and cool.It is located on the cliff of a mountain, a beautiful gorge. We bought candles, went to the monastery and put them on (the Russian Orthodox Church does not forbid this in Armenian temples and monasteries). My daughter and her husband went down to the underground tunnel in the courtyard and we also walked through the mountains, which offer a fantastic view of the mountains and the Monostyrsky complex.Birds are singing, silence, mountains, few people, the weather is gorgeous in May..medieval monastery and sy))..such a thrill.I definitely recommend this place to everyone.
