An observation deck on the "peninsula" of the Grodno reservoir from the village of Svisloch. A unique opportunity here in Belarus, about 20 km from Grodno, to feel like the Israeli people who came out of Egypt and found themselves in front of a huge sea: on the one hand, the Egyptian army, and on the other hand, the sea, and it seems that there is no way out. But this place, this observation deck, still needs to be reached! From the car on foot about 1.2 km (leave the car at the end of the village of Dekalovichi), or from the stop "Village of Svisloch" about 3.5 km (although you can ask to stop the bus in front of the village of Dekalovichi, then it will be about 2.5 km on foot). Yandex maps indicate that there is a road directly to the observation deck, but it is practically impossible to get here by car (if only in a good SUV)! If there is someone in your group who complains about life and wants comfort in everything (for example, it is difficult to walk 1.2 km), then this place is not for such a person! When you get to the observation deck, perhaps not everyone will decide to climb the structure of the observation deck itself (see photo). But those who rise will not regret it! The view is very beautiful! On the opposite side to the left is the Grodno Svisloch biological reserve, which is within easy reach of the reservoir, but it is really possible to get there – only through Grodno – to make a detour of about 40 km. On the opposite side, there is a small village of Homiki, with only a few houses. And on the opposite side of the right is the place where the Svisloch River flows into this reservoir. You can not swim – there is no infrastructure and lifeguards! Bonfires should not be burned (although we found traces of one small bonfire all along the way)! There is no sand on the shore, but grass – you can take food with you and sit on the grass. There were no people at all! Birdsong and nature are just wonderful!
