We can safely call this monument a visiting card of Tashkent (not the only one), Uzbekistan, the Uzbek people. It is very joyful that it has been preserved, as well as the entire complex, including the square, the Peoples' Friendship Palace!

The Monument of Friendship of Peoples is the place where you can see everywhere, take pictures and touch it with your hands. There are seats nearby for people to sit and admire the air. There is a Peoples' Friendship Palace behind the monument. However, I don't see any disadvantages there. I recommend you to visit this place

Не были в Ташкенте 30 лет. Стало все неузнаваемо, красиво, нарядно, много новых высотных зданий, люди приветливы. Приятно удивлены и рады за Узбекистан.

Всем известный в Узбекистане памятник семье Шомахмудовых. Эта семья взяла на воспитание и усыновили 15 детей, потерявших родителей и эвакуированных во время войны в Ташкент. Одно время его убрали со своего места но с приходом нового президента одумались и поставили обратно. Соответственно на этот памятник символизирует дружбу народов. Но для меня этот памятник настоящих героев, которые в нелегкие времена не отказывались от чужих детей, не только давали кров и питание но любили и воспитывали как своих.
