I would really like to give this hotel a higher rating. After all, it is very conveniently located in the center, near the main sights of Riga and a large shopping center, interesting interiors, which successfully fit the ancient masonry. And we had a great few days there. BUT the hotel, at least the furniture in it, requires urgent renovation, for a 4* establishment, huge scratches on cabinets / tables and worn headboards are unacceptable! And breakfast... The omelette is just awful! It's better not to serve it at all than THIS!

Nice hotel, nice staff, everyone speaks Russian. Cleaning every day, we stayed two nights, towels were changed. The breakfast is delicious, the choice is decent, we didn't have time to try everything)) inside the hotel, some walls were left untreated from the old building, it turned out very atmospheric!
A huge plus is the location of the hotel, in the very center.
There are also small disadvantages - it's a little dark in the bathroom, I didn't like the bed linen at all, the sheet consisted of two pieces that were placed across the bed, and of course they were spreading all the time, and very narrow blankets. But the mattress is great!) A kettle is not provided, and after a winter walk I really wanted to have a hot drink)
I consider the cons to be insignificant, and the pros to determine the choice of this hotel.

There is a large supermarket nearby. Cafes and restaurants are within walking distance.

I was at this hotel on September 29, 2019. I really liked the room, the linen was changed every day, the helpful staff, the breakfasts are wonderful, everything is nearby.

Solid 4 stars almost in the very center of Riga. The breakfast included in the price is more like lunch at the Turkish olinclusive. Unless there is no alcohol :)). Although for those who are particularly thirsty, there is a minibar in the room and a supermarket opposite and an alcohol market on the corner of the house. After the usual meager European breakfasts, there is a place to turn around. And scrambled eggs, and bacon, and potatoes, and vegetables, and cereals, milk, cereals and yoghurts. Sausages, by the way, are not delicious :), fruits and fruit salad, tea, Coffee and of course buns with cookies. In short, not breakfast, but just some kind of holiday! :)) You can have a hearty breakfast and walk quietly until dinner. By the way, the breakfast time is the same human. Until 11:00. Not like in some hotels, those who did not have time with the first cocks were late...

We stopped several times, and things are gradually getting worse. Indifferent employees appeared, the breakfasts were not delicious, the rooms clearly need repair. This time, card payment was not accepted. From the good - a good location, a historical building with interesting interior elements. We wish the management to raise the hotel to the previous level.

Overall, it's not bad. But it does not pull at 4 stars. The linen was changed in front of us, as it turned out to be wet. If I came to breakfast by 7.30, I managed to do everything, if by 9, then there are already leftovers, the food is not reported.

The hotel does not have four stars. Shabby furniture, worn carpet in the room. No cooler or kettle. Sewn towels, heavily used linen. Dishes with splinters. The plumbing is leaking, and there are traces of mold in the shower stall. All of these savings can be treated with respect if it were a three-star hotel. The staff is polite.
