We went twice, after the ticket offices were closed. Not because they wanted to save money, but because you can roast in the sun during the summer day. It's already comfortable after 6-7-8 pm. You won't understand much without a tour and knowledge of history, there are few descriptions and those that are in English, excavations and restoration work are still underway. The ticket offices are open until 8 p.m. (June-July 2025), and they close even earlier out of season. Admission is 10 euros. The territory is huge, the continuation of the city goes towards the Lycian trail.. I really liked it, I'm generally a lover of antiquity, but if you are indifferent to this and have seen 2-3 ancient cities, you shouldn't really strive here. Don't expect any wow effect here..

A must-visit place if you come to Cirali. The museum city is very rich in ancient buildings. If you arrive before 8 a.m., you can go for free (admission for foreigners is 10 euros per nose). All the better to get here early: you can meet the dawn on the shore, and then enjoy the ruins before the heat sets in.

Beautifully restored ruins, they try to use ancient stones with carvings, and original structures remain in some places. The place gives an excellent idea of the structure and approximate architecture of the city.

We strolled through the picturesque ruins to the sparsely populated beach. The place is beautiful, but the entrance for 10 € could include a small excursion program, or at least brochures with history.

I visit Olympos regularly, as I live in Chiraly a couple of times a year. An interesting place if you initially read the story on the Internet or travel with a guide. Excavations are underway in parallel. You can go to the beach on the other side (100 meters) and enjoy swimming in the UNESCO-protected bay with stunning views.

A great place for an evening walk, when it's not hot, you can see everything, read about everything, and after dark feel fully at home in the atmosphere of the ancient city. Slow down, give yourself some peace and quiet among this city and the surrounding mountains.

If you travel by car from Kemer to Demre, you will find a very interesting place here. Olympos is an ancient city. Some parts of it have been preserved very well. Of course, it will be of particular interest to those who are interested in history. In any case, if you drive off the d400 road and walk through the entire ancient city to the end, you will receive two pleasant bonuses. The first is the high part of the fortress wall, which offers a magnificent view of the bay. And the second one is the purest water in this Cirali Bay and the pleasure of swimming in it!

We arrived by car in the late afternoon. The place is beautiful and historical. Tickets at the box office cost 700 lira (December 2024), accept cards and euros, change euros to lira. The toilet is 100 meters from the entrance (free). The territory itself is huge, excavations and restoration work are underway there. All descriptions are in English and Turkish. The road down to the sea is actually unpaved. The feeling that there are not enough signs where to go and what to see. It's better to take a guided tour. Rare historical artifacts at the very entrance to the sea (there is also a ticket office there). I recommend you to visit.

The stunning ancient city is located in the village of Chiraly. Opposite the turquoise beach. There was a big city a long time ago. Beautiful mosaics in baths and other rooms. Every time I look at ancient cities, or rather what's left of them, I want to at least get a glimpse of how people lived in those days and how they built. The city has an interesting history, everything is available on the Yandex platform, I advise you to read before or after visiting this place.

The place is interesting, but the price is too high - 10 euros per person for July 2025. The ruins are well preserved, some have frescoes and patterns. But, unfortunately, one feels the hand of a man who stuck the stones in as he had to, which violates both the meaning and the drawing. After visiting the ruins, you can go to the beach. However, maybe we were unlucky, but there were a lot of people on the beach, showers/toilets/changing rooms were visible somewhere on the horizon, and mountains of garbage were floating in the beautiful sea.

An incredibly interesting place, immersing in the era of antiquity. Archaeologists have restored large areas, with the smallest details. The place is 100% worth a visit, I think it's better to go there for a day, so as not to rush and with lunch stops, to explore everything.

There is a large territory here, and it is being actively restored. It's hard for me to judge, but it feels like the restoration doesn't quite reflect the real buildings of the past. However, on the other side of the river, the ruins of the monastery, the necropolis, and the fortress wall of the Hellenistic culture, untouched by restoration, have been preserved. It's a little dangerous to wander there because of the rocks that threaten to fall on your head in some places. But it was here that I liked the most.

Absolutely ordinary antique ruins, just hyped. Admission is 1000 rubles per person (I consider it expensive, considering that there are plenty of such ruins for free). Phaselis is more interesting and more expensive for the same money. A huge bunch of tourists. Half of it has not been excavated yet and there is no access to many parts of the city. There's no atmosphere because of the crowds. The Turks tried to refine and make something like a park, but it has not worked out yet, even the benches for recreation are located exclusively in the scorching sun, although there are large trees nearby) I advise you to go to the less popular ruins yourself if you want to touch the history-there are many such places in Turkey, they are often better, there are no people at all and for free. And the views are much more beautiful.

Admission is 10 euros, the city is big, there is a place to walk and see, it is very interesting and beautiful in the gorge. Access to the beach from the city, you can sunbathe and swim with a beautiful view and clear sea. One disadvantage is that you can get there either by car or with a guided tour...

It's beautiful, but very expensive. If you don't want to pay, but want to look at the antiquities and go to the beach, then you can cross the river before reaching the entrance and walk on the right along the part that has not yet been cleared. There are very large and interesting buildings there. Including the largest hammam, next to which there is a large spring. There is also a path that leads to a very beautiful beach. Or go up the mountain and walk through the remains of the castle. Or walk to the rocks. All the main paths are very accurately indicated on the maps.

We expected to see the ruins in the open air, but we met a huge flow of people to the beach through Olympos and, as a result, big parking problems (waiting for more than 25 minutes, after the paid entrance you wait and look for a place in a densely packed parking lot). There is no shade, you can wander under the scorching sun, but there are a lot of new clothes. In comparison with other historical places, I recommend Perga (a real Roman city with a preserved amphitheater, stadium, market, etc.), Phaselis, Aspendos, Selge.

They are picturesque and not visited by crowds of tourists. Especially places that are not cleared of thickets of laurel and other flora. The degradation of the skill of stonecutters and builders from early antiquity to the Middle Ages is very clearly traced. Locals pass by to the beach and back. They are not interested in what happened before Suleiman the Magnificent.

An attraction worth visiting. It's a very picturesque place, everything is neat and clean. Routes and buildings are marked up. There are explanatory signs in English. There is a large parking lot in front of the entrance. After 17:00, the ticket offices close and admission becomes free. There is also an entrance from the beach. The ancient ancient city is located at the mouth of the river, part of the buildings on the slopes of the mountains is covered with forest. It's very exciting to wander there for 1.5-2 hours. There are many small souvenir shops around and even more hotels/hostels/campgrounds.

It seems to me one of the most interesting ancient cities. It is clear that he is being cared for and continues to recover. It is also noticeable that they did not bother to restore the stucco and some stucco stones were laid in the wall…

It's just a huge museum complex, there is where to walk and what to see. The city has not been preserved, the ruins are being restored, but it is very interesting, knowing that the city itself originated before our era. The city was part of the Lycian Union, and then the Roman Empire, rebuilt and completed. It takes your breath away from the history that this city has experienced

An atmospheric place to take a walk, gain impressions, you can watch the work of archaeologists. Probably, when there are a lot of people there, it's not very cozy, we were in October right at dawn at 7 a.m., even the ticket offices were closed, so we only found out after the fact that the entrance was paid. But there were few people, everyone greeted each other warmly.

Among the disadvantages: the entrance fee is in euros, payment is only in lira, of course, the exchange rate is not the most profitable. The ticket price in January 2025 turned out to be too high. Parking is available, but for a fee There are few explanatory signs You can cross the river to the amphitheater side only in dry weather. In rainy weather, only in rubber boots, which you are unlikely to take with you when traveling to Turkey. Of the advantages: Nicely That's about it

An incredibly atmospheric place! The entrance is 10 euros, but we arrived at 5 p.m. on Sunday, went to the ticket office, ready to pay, and suddenly, they announced to us that the ticket office was closing and admission was free.Parking near the entrance is also paid. There are informative places on the territory of the ancient city that are new enough to read. An unrealistically beautiful beach, comparable only to Patara beach

for a maximum of an hour. a lot of abandoned and undiscovered. the fact that it was cleaned, of course, has a wow effect. but the competent and knowledgeable experts, whose videos I watched later, talk about a lot of violations during recovery. The archaeologists have another 200 years of work there....

If you happen to be nearby, you can take a look. The bottom line: a large complex of ancient ruins: temples, houses, tombs, burials. The city itself is ancient but rebuilt in places. Entrance is paid - ~ $30. Cafes, restaurants, and hotels are on the way to the ticket offices. The city is located on the beach, so you can swim.

I recommend a visit. You can walk through the ruins of the ancient city, touch the history in the truest sense of the word. And at the end, the ancient street overlooks the shore of a picturesque bay. It is very interesting and beautiful. And be sure to Google the history of this city, there are many interesting facts about it, knowing which, the inspection becomes even more fascinating.

A great place for an educational pastime, with its own, as it seemed to us, special energy. It is better to arrive early in the morning, at 9-10 it is still not very hot and there are few people. There are enough parking options, there are no problems with this. There is an expensive paid parking right at the entrance, there are enough places. Or nearby in a dry riverbed))) It's free. The city itself is actively recovering, which is encouraging. If desired, you can swim in the sea, it is quite clean. Having a snack after visiting the city is also not a problem, there are many establishments, the prices are average. In general, the few hours we spent there left the most pleasant memories.

If you are on vacation in Turkey near the village of Cirali, then you need to visit the ruins of the ancient city of Olympus. Entrance to the territory is paid, you must have water, a swimsuit (if you want to swim) and comfortable shoes. It is better to plan the route in advance or find out how to get there. Our group split into pairs and we didn't see any of what our colleagues found. Nature is fascinating, very beautiful. Come early, while the sun is not so bright.

I recommend. The settlement is really more ancient than the ancient one. Tombs of influential people and the necropolis in general are very exciting to the imagination. If you enter the city from the coast (10€ entrance per person), walk along the river towards the mountains, you can drink coffee and visit tourist cafes at the exit. The city itself is about 1000m by 600m.

It is an old port settlement that has seen the Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine periods. It's almost as if the forest is about to swallow up the remaining ruins as well. Rescue excavations are still underway. It is a must-see point for those who are curious about old settlements.

When the sun is shining, it's warm, the air is from the sea, and inside there is 150 Spanish - any ruins are magnificent. Separately, it will be interesting to observe the real excavations of the ancient city. It will appeal to those who like to wander thoughtfully and reflect on eternity, beauty, geography, etc. It went down very well for me. They don't feed in winter: there are about 20 establishments around, but all are closed.

It is better to go in the morning, BEFORE lunch, because after lunch there are a lot of tourists from ships. And if possible, eat by yourself without time limit. There is a place to visit, to walk too. And what is super interesting is to study the history of this place. Read it in advance to understand the scale and importance of this city. Also in this place you can meet turtles, real crabs live in the river. In general, it is a super place that is worth visiting, being in Kemer and its surroundings.

It's quite an interesting road to this city. The city is narrow and stretches along a river overlooking the sea. A beautiful beach with beautiful pebbles. There are many antique buildings in different condition. I was struck by the building where the mosaic floor was found in the early 90s of the last century. The floor in the Antalya museum is carefully preserved under glass, and the house where it was found looks like a garbage dump. Admission was in January 2025 in the region of 10 Euros or according to the Museum card. Parking is paid.
