We passed tests with a guy regarding sexual infections. I'm clean. Nothing was found in the smear of the guy, but trichomonas were found in the PCR (although this should not be the case, i.e. if there is in the PCR, then in the smear, respectively). Then the PCR was retested for trichomonas and a negative result was obtained. We turned to Olympus, how could this happen?! A few days later, we were contacted with the words: "There was contamination, something got out. We can refund the money for the analysis." In simple terms, contamination is the ingestion of foreign microorganisms into the analysis. And I have a question: "How did you include trichomonads in the analysis?! Do you understand that if we hadn't taken a second smear, we would have treated a healthy person for a non-existent disease?!". Usually people don't get tested again. And they also named such a ridiculous price, which is 3.5 times different from the one we gave away. If you made a mistake (gross!), then answer for it!
