My original Ray-Ban Meta brand glasses frame, which was a gift from my wife, was a product with high both material and spiritual value for me. However, unfortunately, this frame became unusable due to an incorrect operation performed at the Optician Optical store in Kadikoy. These events have made me very disappointed and victimized; I am writing this review so that no one else will experience a similar situation. The aforementioned Ray-Ban Meta brand frame was purchased from a duty free store in France with an official invoice for a price of 326.69 euros. I wanted to have this expensive and brand new product fitted with numbered glasses lenses at Optician Optics. However, after the first lens installation process, I noticed that scratches formed on the frame that were definitely not there before the procedure. The frame was in perfect condition before the procedure, so these scratches occurred during the procedure in the store. I took the glasses back to the store to report the situation and demand a solution. The master of the store tried to polish (polish) the frame in order to remove scratches. Unfortunately, this “solution” has made the problem even bigger: the original matte texture of the frame has been deleted, and the original details on it have also disappeared. In short, my glasses frame has suffered irretrievable damage, leaving no trace of its original state. The store, on the other hand, refused to compensate for the damage despite this obvious error and negligence. Moreover, they avoided responsibility by putting forward unacceptable excuses. For example, they did not take responsibility by saying that the glasses were not an “official” product in Turkey; they even tried to claim that the damage was pre-existing by saying “it was already like this”. These allegations are completely untrue and it is an attitude that ignores my victimization. On top of that, they also didn't refund the fee I paid for the lenses. In other words, as a result of faulty service, both my valuable item became unusable and I wasted money. Such an attitude that victimizes the customer and does not accept responsibility is really unacceptable. I have already started the legal process on this issue: I have consulted with a lawyer and I am preparing my complaint to the Consumer Arbitration Committee. In addition, I have photos and documents proving all the issues I have mentioned here (original invoice, purchase receipt, pay records and pre- and post-transaction photos of the product). I warn everyone against this business that ignores customer satisfaction and consumer rights. I recommend that you definitely stay away from this store in optical services so that your products that you value are not damaged. I am waiting for the Optician Optical authorities to see what I have written and take responsibility and contact me to cover the damage. Otherwise, I will resolutely continue to seek my right and warn other consumers.
