Architectural Marvel Standing 468 meters tall in Pudong, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower (1994) is Asia's second-highest tower. Its iconic design features 11 suspended spheres, symbolizing "pearls falling on a jade plate". The tower's three-tiered structure includes: Lower Sphere (98m): Exhibitions and space-themed attractions. Upper Sphere (263m): A rotating restaurant and 360° observation deck. Space Cabin (350m): The highest panoramic view point. Cultural Significance Designed by architect Yu Mu, the tower blends Chinese aesthetics (e.g., palace-style spires) with Western engineering (transparent elevators and steel frames). It mirrors Shanghai's fusion of tradition and modernity, akin to the Statue of Liberty's role in New York. Tourist Hub As a 5A-rated attraction, it attracts millions annually. Beyond sightseeing, it hosts exhibitions, concerts, and broadcasts, embodying the city's dynamism. Its nightly light show illuminates the Huangpu River skyline.

I highly recommend visiting to see the panorama of Shanghai, preferably from both panoramic platforms, especially impressive is the one with a glass floor) There is also a gorgeous museum of Chinese history in the tower, which is also very interesting, and you can learn a lot of new things)) There are a lot of souvenir shops in the tower on the ground floor, they are all very high quality, there are also sweets and ice cream (highly recommended) at a very affordable price and very tasty, one of the oldest and most famous Chinese companies, all Chinese have known it since childhood, as we chocolate "Alyonka". There's also a robot that makes coffee with very unusual flavors. A must have is to buy a high-quality and very beautiful magnet with the main symbol of Shanghai - the TV tower))

If you haven't been to Shanghai, then you don't know anything about China. The pearl of the country. A city that symbolizes the leap forward of China with its huge population. A city with 28 million inhabitants. And to say that it's super boring here. I won't tell. Surprisingly a lot of space. The pearl of Shanghai, also known as the Oriental Pearl, is a TV tower. For tourists, the first point to visit. The observation deck is not as high as, say, in the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, but nevertheless 263 meters with an all-round view. The whole city is visible. But the most interesting place for a photo is a 259-meter playground with a glass floor. An unforgettable experience. Be sure to visit. The adrenaline rush is guaranteed. You can visit the Shanghai Museum in the tower. The history of the city's development in an interesting composition.
