Palermo Cafe-restaurant in Baikonur (Leninsk) is a small but very cozy place located at the very beginning of Korolev Avenue, a street that locals call Arbat. This is one of the few, and perhaps the only place on this street where you can really have a delicious and substantial meal, try Kazakh cuisine and more. Vegetable dishes are especially well prepared here, in particular eggplant, but the real hits of the menu are horse meat steaks and beshbarmak, a traditional Kazakh dish of meat and boiled dough, incredibly satisfying and delicious. The portions are large, the serving is generous and homemade. The waiters are friendly and attentive, and there are almost no empty tables during rush hours, especially on the days before rocket launches. The cafe largely lives off tourists coming to the launches, and as there are fewer launches, prices may seem a little higher than average — the season is short. Nevertheless, it's still cheaper here than in Moscow. You can arrange to bring your own alcohol to Palermo, but it's better to take drinks from them — it's hard to find a good store in the city, and here the institution is responsible for the quality. All the events around the launches — before, during and after — are traditionally celebrated here.: tourists, specialists and guests of the city gather. The cafe also has trusted pastry partners, to whom they transfer orders of cakes - the result is always excellent: fresh, delicious, without any comments. Palermo is a warm place at the very beginning of Korolev Avenue, on a street that locals call Arbat, where you can feel the atmosphere of Baikonur, eat quality and satisfying food and get acquainted with real Kazakh cuisine.

There are quite spacious seats - in the sixth you can easily sit at one table, if you make room, you can cram more at one table. At the same time, the sofas allow you to sit back comfortably. There is a Wi-Fi connection. The food is varied (there are dishes with horse meat), tasty, high-calorie, lots of salads, snacks, steaks, kebabs. The menu (slightly thicker than the Talmud) contains alcohol, but it is also not forbidden to bring your own. The waiters are attentive and helpful, there is a button to call them. One of the disadvantages: prices - if you want to save money, then you should not go here; card payment is not accepted - in cash or by transfer. In general, I liked it.

I stopped by the Palermo pizzeria in Baikonur — it's not for nothing that it's called the best place in the city: the cozy atmosphere, fast service, salad and rolls are beyond praise, and the desserts are also excellent. But the shish kebab failed: it was burnt and over-dried. I don't recommend taking it. Dear supervisor. Palermo! I love your place very much — everything else you have is really delicious. But the barbecue on my visit was burnt, all three types. For this price, I expected juicy and evenly fried meat. Please adjust the frying control and offer a replacement in case of marriage. Thanks!
