A small fortress, it looks beautiful due to the fact that it stands on the seashore. It is illuminated in the evening, which gives an additional charm. It is interesting to visit there when a storm and waves break on the rocks on which the fortress stands.

The fortress at the end of the embankment was the dominant and reference point where our evening promenade in Paphos ended. After relaxing on a bench overlooking the fort and the sea, we returned to the hotel. In the darkness of the night, illuminated by lanterns and the moon, the castle looked romantic, mysterious and majestic. In the light of day, when we passed by on a bike ride, it was like an ordinary stone building without a pronounced artistic – but not historical! – values. During the festival (Cyprus was declared the cultural capital of Europe in 2017, and many cultural events took place here), a stage and stands for spectators were mounted at the foot, and outdoor theatrical performances were held. It was spectacular and beautiful. It was impossible to get inside the fort, so there are no hopes – no disappointments. As a result, the medieval castle remained for us an unexplored landmark of Paphos

And here I am again in my pretentious castle on the shores of Cyprus! I built this castle back in the days when I was hiding from the Mongols, but today I'm hiding here from taxes :) The place is suitable, because only I understand the basement maze)

Frankly, there is nothing to do here. You can come in between business or from nothing to do. It's empty inside, but you can go upstairs and look at it all from above. It is inexpensive, proportionate. You'd better go to the Pelican on the Mesa.

If you are looking for pretentious pictures, this is not here. It seems to us that this does not particularly pull at the castle. You can see it once.

An ancient historical monument, a place of intersection of civilizations. Such places delight the soul and open up new horizons for travel. It is recommended for multiple visits at different times of the day

I really like to travel around the fortresses of Cyprus. The Paphos fort is quite compact, but excellent photo shoots are obtained near it. The must-have location of any photographer.

In 2014, he visited the promenade in Paphos. An unforgettable experience! The White Tower reminded me of King's Landing from Game of Thrones.

The first thing when we arrived in Paphos, we went to climb the fortress, we really liked it. Especially the beautiful photos turned out.

It has been a well-groomed and gentrified place for 10 years. It's worth going up to the roof.Admission seems to be paid, about 5 €, students get a discount or even free of charge.
