It is not known exactly by whom and when the Ankara Castle was built. The castle consists of different parts as an inner castle and an outer castle, and there are four known gates for entering and leaving the outer castle and the outer castle from the inner castle. One of them is the Finger door. In case of emergency, the gate for entering and exiting the area of the castle called the Horse Sunday was made in such a size that only one person could pass through.
