A pleasant place, with good food (mostly German). We ordered a knuckle, sausage mix with cabbage and sauces, pretzels and, of course, Paulaner beer is different. Everything is very tasty and a lot. The three of them found a knuckle, sausages and pretzels already as an appetizer for beer. The service is excellent, the atmosphere is pleasant, lots of colors. To be honest, many of my friends judge the establishment by the toilets))). But there's nothing to find fault with here either. There is live music and a small dance floor on the ground floor. On the second floor, you can eat and chat without music.
The only possible disadvantage (for some) is the prices. Still, it's much more expensive than just eating a barbecue with beer at the Georgian Courtyard, for example...

It's an atmospheric place, nice to be in, but the food is mostly at the dining room level.
By zones:
Ground floor — loud music, difficult to communicate.
The second floor is active, but quieter than the first.
The terrace is very atmospheric, it is especially pleasant to sit there.
Prices:
Overall, they are high. For many food items, the pricing is overstated
What to try:
– rabbit pate
– horsemeat salad
– eggplant salad
The rest:
– sausages — the most common
– fish & chips — neutral
– shrimps in a frying pan — I do not recommend it: use small salad shrimps
Alcohol:
The beer is delicious, as expected.
Cocktails — everything I tried was tasteless.

This is a real piece of Germany, almost in the heart of our city! Cozy atmosphere, wonderful interior and, most importantly, incredibly delicious cuisine. Each dish is prepared with soul, and the beer is simply beyond all praise. The staff is always friendly and professional, which makes the visit especially enjoyable. One of the most pleasant establishments in Almaty! We choose Paulaner when we are thinking about where to go with the company. We had a rest in a relaxed atmosphere, listened to music professionally performed by excellent musicians with an excellent repertoire. Hello everyone, I flew with my wife on vacation to Kazakhstan. We had a rest in this place 3 times a week. Mostly during the day, walking in sunny weather) Beer, snacks, and let's fly on) This time we went to dinner in the evening) Hot dishes, beer..... and all the dishes were cold.... slightly warm....?! The waiter was asked, he said that it was probably because of the presence of the kitchen on the ground floor. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 They even asked me to warm it up . 🤣 Everything was brought exactly .... What the?! If you want to do something on the level, do it! The place has dropped in the eyes in a week 🤣 It's not like there's a cafe called cafe) You come here and want service, delicious food, proper serving.... Down to the Paulaner level! The beer is excellent and simple. The atmosphere is great, it's not a shame to invite guests there. But the prices are definitely above average. It used to be more accessible. Delicious knuckle, pretzels with cheese, etc. The service is normal, but when there are a lot of people on Friday or Saturday and when the company is sitting, the beer seems to be underused. They told the waiter once and started pouring more.

It's a great place. A real German pub! The brewery. The original kitchen. Friday, Saturday - cool music groups are working, very high-quality instrumentation. Two floors. On Friday and Saturday, seats must be reserved, as a rule, there are no empty seats in the evening. Waiters in a stylish themed uniform. The place is fun, in a good sense of the word and very popular and the Almaats.

For the 3rd time in PL. The first two are indescribable. Very hospitable and delicious.
But...::
A complete failure from the point of view of the service.
We were at the establishment closer to closing time. Technically, yes, we worked until 2:00 a.m., and at 1:59 a.m. the lights were turned off, creating the feeling that we were being kicked out. After 15 minutes, they politely but persistently asked to leave the territory in order to close the gates.
There was no hint of hospitality or basic respect for the guest. No attempt at personalized service, no desire to leave a good impression.
It felt like we were a hindrance, not guests. After that, definitely not a foot. And I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Service is not just about the kitchen and interior. It's an attitude. But he's not here.
