If you want to see something that is amazing? This is definitely the place for you. The Institute of the Sun, built in 1987. There are only two of them in the world, here and in France. The complex is amazing, you can walk almost all over the territory and climb the hub itself. Be sure to bring sunglasses and water. We took an evening tour, so there were no problems with the transfer, we were picked up in the center of Tashkent and brought back. The tour also included telescope observations of the moon and other space objects. It's pretty cool in the evening and you need warm clothes. I recommend it to everyone.

It's a wonderful place, definitely worth visiting more than once! There are only two such objects in the world, in Uzbekistan and in France, ours is in very poor condition, but when replacing the mirrors, our people realized that the Soviet one is better ... the power of the sun is amazing, the guide interestingly told and showed experiments on how to boil a kettle with the help of the sun or set fire to a tree. thank God nothing goes out of order ... during our stay there were horses that you can ride, I think it's unnecessary and unnecessary!

A large-scale cyclopean structure that impresses the imagination with its appearance and purpose. A futuristic look would fit seamlessly on Mars. The building feels the power and monumentality of a country that no longer exists. There are two such facilities in the world - in Uzbekistan and France. People who are genuinely passionate about science work here, developing new materials and technologies. One of these employees, Nabihon, gave us a very interesting tour, showed us experiments, and made a souvenir from the Sun!))) A special mention is the chandelier in the form of a sun located in the lobby of the administrative building.

this is a very cool place to visit only with an excursion, you will learn a lot of interesting things, the experiments demonstrated by the staff are surprising, although these are only the laws of light reflection, children will definitely be interested in how they set fire to a tree with a ray, burn metal through and melt bricks

An interesting place to visit, unique. The second one is in France, but there is only a museum there. It takes an hour to drive from Tashkent, a one-way taxi costs 125 thousand soums, and Yandex easily caught both there and there. The cost of admission and a half-hour tour is 55 thousand soums per foreigner. The excursion depends on the host, we didn't have a very talkative one. In terms of time, excur + climb everywhere, take pictures and climb, which is not forbidden, but even encouraged - 2 hours have passed. They work from Mon-Sat from 9 to 18, no pre-registration is required. There is a toilet and a tent with soda and snacks on site.

It is a very interesting object, it definitely makes sense to get here and see. I advise you to take a tour, it's quite exciting, without it it's just an unusual location. They will tell you about the scientific component and with the help of small (relative to the main installation) mirrors they will demonstrate how solar energy is able to set fire to a tree, melt a piece of iron and burn a brick in a few seconds, it is especially interesting for children, but adults are also delighted)

A wonderful tour! I liked everything very much. We arrived by taxi at 3 p.m. in the sun, and we were joined by another small group. The ticket cost 60,000. The walk took about 1.5 hours. The elevator is working, if anything)

The complex is open for tourists to visit. To organize excursions, please contact the contacts on the website of the Institute of Materials Science of Uzbekistan. The second phone number in the contacts. I advise you to take a guided tour with scientific information. It is very interesting and informative. Conducted by an employee of the Institute. I am glad that the complex is beginning to be repaired. They are currently conducting research there. They create new materials. Well, for those who are looking for an interesting location for a photo, this is exactly the place. A good view of the mountains and the fantastic scale of the building itself is a unique symbiosis.

It's a wonderful place. We left Tashkent at 11 a.m. today, and the journey took +- 50 minutes. Although it was cloudy, it was very interesting, entrance tickets cost 20,000 soums, for foreigners $ 5. Additionally, they asked us to accompany them and tell them about the complex. Very interesting! The staff are very cheerful, charismatic, kind, helpful, knowledgeable and loving people. I would like to express my special gratitude to Javakhir Zafarovich. I recommend it to everyone to visit

Be sure to come here, and you won't regret it! 221 minibuses (bus) from Tashkent to the Parking lot, then by a local taxi (it turned out to be 100 thousand soums round trip with a taxi driver waiting for us for an hour while we were on a tour, we need to negotiate the cost with the taxi driver) There is nothing to do there without an excursion, because all the most interesting things are inside. Yunus was with us, thank you very much for an interesting time!

The place is great, I really liked it! They showed and told a lot of interesting things about the complex. We managed to climb to the very top of the hub by stairs. The elevator is not working yet. Tickets came out at 55,000 soums/person, there were three of us, guide services were included in the price. There's nothing to do there without a guide. We took a taxi from Tashkent, and 125,000 soums left the southern railway station. We agreed with the taxi driver to wait for 50,000 soums and back for 125,000 soums. It took about 1.5 hours along with the guided tour and a free walk.

I really liked it. I don't understand why they talk about some kind of decline in resolution. The complex performed its functions, now the need has fallen, but this does not mean that everything is bad. Great tour, views, technology. It is better to go on a sunny day😂

An interesting place. We had an incredible guide, who involved us in all the stories and processes with his charisma. How to get there: Any day from 8 to 17. It is better to specify the cost by phone (use the contacts from the comment below), because for citizens of another country it costs a little more. Well, I'm delighted, it's beautiful

A VERY interesting and unusual place, with beautiful views and interesting excursions! And it is very promising for introducing young people to science! I would like to wish that the first laboratory was restored and, using its example, those interested were introduced to the principle of operation of heliostats, and M.B. would even show a film about the work of this and others.laboratories, a little bit about the FT Institute as a whole! I recommend visiting this place with children on a sunny day!

Of course that's something!!!!The power of the USSR in reality, 2 such in France and Uzbekistan.Made for the ages! Words cannot describe it, you have to go and see. There is no Owner there to put everything in order, launch a STARTUP, There is no movement, despondency((( There are a couple of people who are committed to the idea, but they need support! The parasite elevator was not functioning...I had to climb the stairs for 15 floors!...It's scary, but it's good for your health!

A very impressive strategic object of the last years of the USSR. Production of ultrapure materials for space and beyond. It has been working up to now. We were on an excursion from Tashkent. I liked it so much that we arrived later for the second time!

A unique technical facility. If you replace the elements on the hub, you can achieve a unique 3000 ° C (today, due to the fact that the mirrors are "darkened", the maximum temperature is 1800 ° C). What is unique? Due to the fact that this temperature is reached without an energy carrier, respectively, gorenje products are absent in the heating/melting process.

A fragment of the great USSR. Perhaps it might be interesting for the older generation of 60+. There's some kind of show going on... according to the laws of physics ... a hole will be made in the coin for the money. It's better to just go to the mountains and not waste time.

I never could have thought that we have such a facility in Uzbekistan. It is a pity that it is not working at full capacity now. As we were told, there are only occasional studies.
