There were no fishermen on the pier, although it is considered a fishing pier, nevertheless, the pier is very interesting: massive wooden piles, a wooden deck and fences with metal rivets give the impression of the century before last. The smell of the sea, seagulls, ships in the bay, a beautiful view of the mysterious foggy island of Alcatraz, and behind the silhouettes of SF and the Coit Tower on the hill.
