This is the most beautiful square in Tashkent. It can be cool in front of the museum even in the hottest weather. The landscaping works perfectly. It's mostly always clean. A great place for an evening walk with both family and girlfriend.

The place is well maintained, which is nice. A sculpture of an old mother in a shawl near the eternal flame. Nearby, in beautifully decorated gazebos with carved wooden pillars, there are lists of the dead on metal plaques. Everything is well done. But the name is unusual, "the square of memory and honors." In the former Soviet republics, they are trying to erase the name "Great Patriotic War" everywhere, it is not clear what they do not like about the name "great" or "patriotic", or both. It humiliates the memory of the fallen.

I walk here early every morning, I walk 3-4km. In the morning, the weather is very good, there is a cool breeze near the river, many couples are walking in groups, doing sports. And one woman, even in cold weather, swims daily after exercise. Together with her, groups of women are engaged in morning gymnastics. They take good care of flowers and trees. There are benches under the firs and birches. After a walk, my husband and I relax on a bench under the singing of birds. But I feel sorry for those who invested a lot of money there, because people do not respect themselves, leave garbage behind, unscrew screws from benches, spoil property. It would be nice if everyone at least didn't litter, if they can't help!
