There is a monument in this square in the form of a lonely angel, who holds a pipe to his lips. Sculptor Anatoly Gaidamaka created it to pay tribute to those who died as a result of a nuclear disaster. There is also a stylized tree with abandoned birdhouses and mailboxes in which, according to some assumptions, people drop letters to their deceased relatives.
