The theater itself is tiny, but so cute and cozy. It is sooo difficult to buy tickets for the performance. We got in because someone handed over the tickets in front of us. The artists are wonderful. The performance is great. Every time I visit Minsk, I try to buy a ticket in advance online, but so far without success. I recommend this theater to visit. There are performances for children and adults. I would have gone to a children's play too, to visit as a child.
The Pioneer cinema is also located in the same building as the theater. There is a mosaic panel of Soviet times on the wall. You can take a coffee and look at the panels. There are old movies in the cinema, which is actually why I choose this cinema. Because of the murals and old movies. I was looking at the Cherbourg umbrellas there.

We stayed with my mother under great impression from the production of "Notes of a young doctor" (based on the cycle of stories by M. Bulgakov).
It's really worth seeing for everyone!
An incredible embodiment of scenes that, as it seemed to me, could only be imagined in my imagination. Even comparing it with the film adaptation of Balabanov's "Morphine", this incredible atmosphere was created with the help of unusual props, lights, dolls and brilliant acting and looked no less worthy than the cinematic version.
It is impossible even to compare it, and it is not necessary.
I wanted to applaud without stopping.
Thank you very much for the emotions and the reflection launched after watching.
And to all the employees for the atmosphere, which was very warm and friendly. And in the wardrobe, and in the wonderful buffet, and in the hall.

The theater is good, but you can't get tickets for adult productions. The poster is published online after the tickets have been sold. This is nonsense! At the time of publication, the site stops working due to the influx of visitors. The staff are friendly, except for the receptionist.

I really liked the performance and the actors! Exceeded all expectations! We attended the play "In the land of unlearned lessons", it was interesting for both children and adults. These are not banal dolls on strings, it was a very cool mix of man + dolls in a variety of designs. The scenery, music, light: everything is on the level, very original. It's fun, instructive, and uplifting. A small hall, visible and audible, it seems to me, from any place. There is a small doll museum. I definitely advise and will come here also for children's and adult performances.

I've loved puppet theater for a long time, I went even when I had no child, even to children's productions. It's a very soulful place. There is a little feeling that time has stopped there, for repairs and arrangement inside, but maybe this is even a plus- such a calm world without Instagram and tiktok. The performances and acting are great! Thank you for everything you do.

I like this theater. The repertoire includes performances for both children and adults. The ticket office is located on the left at the entrance. There, going forward, is a wardrobe and a buffet right ahead. The restrooms are located on the ground floor. The program can be purchased in the lobby. After climbing the steps, you can visit the museum. My top three in performances: The smart dog Sonya, On a black, black street and the Notes of a young doctor.

It is very difficult to get tickets, but after the performance it is quite understandable. I was lucky to get to the production of "Pension Belvedere". I thought there would be puppets, but it turned out that actors in costumes resembling dolls were playing. A strong work, a storm of emotions. And they cried and laughed. I liked that the ending is warm and sincere, like a plush blanket. I highly recommend it if you haven't already

We are from Syktyvkar. According to the reviews, we decided to go to the theater. I'm not a fan of theaters. We went to the performance "Sold laughter": an adult, children aged 16 and 12.
Just wow. Sorry for the slang. The kids are thrilled, I'm thrilled! I really liked the musical compositions! I really enjoyed working with the gym! I really liked the "special effects": huge hands (we even tried to touch them), flying trams, all the actors who "touched" the audience. But most importantly, I was lucky enough to read the letter that the woman was carrying to distract the guards! I keep it! Good day everyone!

I was at the play "Notes of a young doctor" The first quarter of the play, in my opinion, turned out to be a little overplayed by the actors in the American manner (although I am not familiar with the literary basis - I am not sure whose merit it is to the author of the work or the director of the play). Starting from the second quarter of the performance, I really liked it, I began to empathize with the main character. The recoil and acting of the actors leave a strong impression. It wasn't boring at all, the audience applauded standing up.

The hall is cozy and pleasant. Because of the super popularity, there is a lot of excitement and people buy all tickets for additional seats, but they are not comfortable.
It is a pity that this performance is given so little. We've been trying to buy tickets for 2 months.

Buffet is a Soviet approach: it's good that there is a buffet.
In 15 minutes, 1 barmaid served no more than 10 people. For a 3.5-hour performance, this is extremely small. After the opera house, the impression is a little wild - there are 2-3 ticket offices in each buffet and 2-3 employees at each. We need at least a vending machine for drinking, and as for me, then mineral water like Minskaya-4 or Darida, but not any rubbish like Aqua mineral or Sos-sola. You can add a vending machine for tea, coffee and chocolate bars, provided that the coffee is not a cloudy liquid. Many people asked for ice cream.

The toilet is frankly 3 balls.
The cabins in the men's toilet were built in violation of sanitary norms and rules of the Republic of Belarus. It is wildly difficult for a man of size 54 to turn around in a booth - you need to put the Minister of Culture there and shoot on video how he will be able to close the booth and the network on the toilet - the whole former USSR will laugh. The President of the Republic of Belarus simply will not enter there - it will not fit.
There is no toilet paper in the booths, for some reason it is at the entrance to the toilet room. What kind of idiot came up with this quest?
In the women's bathroom, there was a crazy queue of women rushing to the men's room with apologies, so as not to shit themselves. For a super popular 3.5 hour performance, this is a serious problem.

By the way, engineers and architects in institutes were lectured about this already 50 years ago, that there should be more women's toilets than men's, because a woman standing does not do anything in the toilet in the urinal and at train stations, gas stations, theaters there are 2-3 times more queues in the women's toilet than in the men's. The struggle for gender equality in the early 20th century in the USSR became the cause of outright stupidity, and during performances longer than 2 hours with an interval of 15 minutes and bullying of women.

The production of "Tuta Carlson and Louis 14" incorporated all kinds of puppet genre: shadow theater, live puppets and partially Del Arte. Funny.
The guys are young, still on the rise, playing with their hearts. I was interested in the voice of the owner of the farm)

Smart dog Sonya is a sold-out performance, after watching it you feel a stormy joy and emotional uplift! I highly recommend it! And there are also performances for adults!

By chance, my daughter and I bought tickets to the play "Morozko" on January 7, and it became a real miracle!
The surprise began even before the performance: the festive atmosphere that prevailed around us immediately immersed us in a fairy tale. Thank you to the artists for giving us a real winter miracle!
The performance itself is beyond praise! Even sitting in the 11th row, we perfectly saw and heard everything that was happening on stage. The costumes, the music, the acting — everything was top notch!
I would especially like to mention the staff of the theater: everyone we talked to was incredibly polite, friendly and helpful.

Wonderful theater, just brilliant actors, wonderful productions. There is trouble with parking, but near the Kupalovskaya metro station, it is also Oktyabrskaya. The city center, including transport, has no problems. There is a buffet, without alcohol, but with delicious coffee and ice cream and all sorts of goodies. I recommend it, because this is a place for any age audience from the youngest to 18++

I was at the Lyalek Theater for the first time. I liked the doll museum, the design of the lobby. During the performance, the sound from the adjacent cinema hall interferes. After very good reviews about the performances, we decided to go with friends to the play "Nikolasha". It is declared as a comedy. Are you guys serious??? For the first time in all our visits to such events, I wanted to get up and leave. But we decided to watch it firmly! No miracle has happened. I should have left anyway.

The new performance on December 29, 2023 was great, and the snow maiden is much better than last year's. But the play "Dunno" is very difficult to perceive by ear both for adults and children... I would like to see more than just dolls. The endless monologues of the characters tired, barely watched to the end. And the beginning of the performance was too long. But the artists are professionals!!! We recommend you to watch it! We will definitely not go to this performance anymore.

We were with a 7-year-old child at the play Tim Thaler or Sold Laughter.
Utter delight (and costumes of the artists, and dolls, and staging, and contact with the audience)!
It can't be compared to the performances of my childhood.
We were impressed - we gave tickets to friends (their child is 12), we were also completely delighted!
To make sure, so to speak, we went to the play "Sonya the Dog", we were just as delighted.
In general, for those who remained indifferent to the puppet theater in Soviet times, I highly recommend going now!

I've never been to this theater. For 4 months they tried to buy tickets to the play "Notes of a young doctor". It was not possible to do this via the Internet, since there were never any tickets. We decided to buy at the checkout on the day of sale. I work in the theater myself and am ready to stand in line for tickets, but I'm sorry: the first people in the queue arrive at 6 a.m., take a queue and immediately buy 30-40 tickets to the stalls for one performance. It is clear that not for yourself and your relatives, but for resale later. It would be great if the theater could resolve this issue, since we stood in line for 3 hours and bought the last two tickets, at that moment there were about 50 more people behind us who left with nothing. No matter what a great performance, I think that all people should be able to buy tickets at the box office of the theater, and not from a reseller for x3 of the real cost.
