I would like to complain about the cardiology department of the 1st city hospital in Minsk. My husband applied to the emergency department on 12/24/2025 with a complaint of a heart rhythm malfunction, an ECG was taken at the emergency department, they gave it without explanation and said that he was not registered with them, so he had to go to another hospital. They didn't call an ambulance for him, didn't restore his rhythm, but simply waved him off. Cardiac arrhythmia is dangerous due to the risk of stroke, heart attack, heart failure and sudden cardiac arrest due to the formation of blood clots (especially with atrial fibrillation) and insufficient blood supply to organs. And, knowing what such a situation (with a rhythm malfunction) can lead to, the doctors of the emergency department simply do nothing, but send them to another hospital! Is that really possible? This is a heart and it is very serious, and the attitude of doctors (if they can be called that at all) is extremely unprofessional! As I understand it, the hospital's policy is as follows: You may die, but if you're not registered, then it doesn't concern us! Why does the admission department (1st city hospital of Minsk) even allow itself to do this to people who are dealing with serious problems?

It just so happened that I had to visit and lie down in this hospital. With covid and bilateral pneumonia. I have little experience of lying in hospitals, but I will try to be objective. The hospital itself is old, but after renovation. However, the plastic windows are made very sloppily and some are blowing. There are oxygen supply points in the wards - this is very good. I really liked the staff themselves. Whole. And doctors, and nurses, and nurses. They work confidently and know their job. Surprisingly, I was satisfied with the food. After the first ivs, my appetite returned and I waited for the food with anticipation. There was even pink salmon and my favorite carp in the form of fillets. The porridges are all delicious. The food is imported, of course. Everything is packed. There is also a shower, quite modern. The toilets are worse, without toilet seats, well, at least in my department. Of course, I wouldn't have made it without the hospital. The prescribed treatment was completely suitable and put me back on my feet pretty quickly. Minus the star for the windows, and for a somewhat rapid discharge-transfer to rehabilitation. I understand that in a pandemic, this is a conveyor belt - they have stabilized and you can go to another hospital, and save another unfortunate person in my place, but you could have taken a blood test the day before, and not sent it with an analysis four days ago, especially since there were issues with the inflammation index. But it's good that everything is fine. By the way, there is a CT scan.
