I would like to share my experience of staying at the pediatric neurological department of the Russian National Research Center. In general, the organization of medical procedures was at a good level: tests, MRI and CT scans were carried out promptly, without long waits. The staff, especially the nurses, showed attention and care, which created a comfortable atmosphere. I would like to mention the nurses separately - incredibly kind and cheerful women who always lifted the mood with their light nature and friendly attitude. As for the living conditions, the food was very ordinary, without frills. Unfortunately, no solution could be found to my problem, and expectations from the Russian Orthodox Church turned out to be somewhat high. However, the stay itself can be compared to a sanatorium: a calm atmosphere, a clear daily routine. The only thing that has become difficult is the limited space for walking. After a week in the center, I wanted to go beyond it, but I had to be content with the territory of the hospital. This can be especially difficult for young children who are forced to spend time in four walls. I advise parents to take their kids out into the fresh air as often as possible. The summer season has smoothed out the impressions a little, but one thing I can say for sure: even an adult gets bored in a week, and involuntarily there is a desire to run through the corridors and scream from the monotony)

Nurse Olga Semyonovich answered all my questions in a very rude tone, and when I objected to her arrogant tone, she specifically moved mom and boy into our half-empty room late at night, even though the ward manager was in charge of the room and they should not have been on the list the next day. During the day on 05/07/25, she never entered the ward, did not tell the appointment for the day, did not take the temperature of the children, and often she was not on duty. Further, the Russian Orthodox Church had an appointment for an MRI scan under anesthesia back in January. I thought that we would come, take tests, and do an MRI scan the next day or two, because we had been recording for 4 months.As a result, the head of the MRI is appointed by Belaya S.A. it is unclear on what principle! As a result, they lay there until the weekend, and did not get an MRI scan. I also didn't like the fact that before going to the department, it is necessary to sit in line with the head, we sat with a 3-year-old child for 1.5 hours!!! During this time, it was possible to calmly check out and go to the ward to rest, because the child has a nap. In the end, we checked out with nothing, not a foot here anymore, the attitude is terrible!

P., underwent surgery on 02/13/2025 - endovascular embolization of a saccular aneurysm of the left posterior cerebral artery. Before the operation, my husband was in good condition, the aneurysm had not ruptured and had not previously manifested itself in any way, we found out by chance. During the next week after this operation, he suffered an ischemic stroke. A blood clot has formed next to the installed spiral, which currently blocks the lumen of the artery by more than 50%. When the stroke occurred, he was in the hospital at the place of care, where an ambulance took him from home after discharge. Her husband was discharged on the second day, the doctor said that there would be no treatment and she could be discharged, the weekend was coming, her husband was given to sign a waiver of hospitalization for the weekend or he would be discharged on Monday. After discharge, a headache appeared in the evening, which was increasing. On Monday, my husband called the doctors who performed the operation and they said that his head could not hurt after the operation, so look for another reason. When I asked him to take him back to the Russian National Research Center of Neurology and Neurosurgery, the doctor who made the appointment for the operation replied that it was impossible. For the second month now, hellish headaches have been present daily on the left side in the area of the aneurysm and envelop the entire left side of the head up to the eye. At the same time, the pain cannot be completely anesthetized at home. After taking the pills, the pain partially subsides for a couple of hours and returns again, intensifying at night. We are desperate to figure out how to live with this, how many pain pills we will have to take, and what it will lead to. I cannot say whether the operation was performed correctly or incorrectly, but such a result clearly should not have been. We both can't help but wonder why it was necessary to do this operation if the person is not better, but worse. And why do doctors from the Russian National Research Center of Neurology, who have the most knowledge and experience in this particular field, not take any part in solving the situation? We were initially given one amount, knowing the diagnosis, because they threw off the MRI, at discharge they said to pay 2.5 times more, it was good that there was a place to quickly get the money, because they had to be found in 3-4 hours. This does not detract from the merits of doctors, but the question is more to the organizers of paid services for foreign citizens. I think that this should not be done. This is my opinion.
