Nice place with some good cafes and restaurants. Good choice to spend a calm day on the beach.

This is literally the best beach I've ever seen in my life! Incredible scenery, clear water, soft sand, infrastructure (shops, showers, changing rooms), it's perfect no matter how you look at it!! We arrived there for a couple of hours, and in the end we spent the whole day, I highly recommend visiting 🏝️

While vacationing in Hong Kong in September 2025, I visited Repulse bay beach several times. There is a fairly clean sandy beach, trees with wide crowns are planted along the entire length of the beach, under which you can hide from the sun. There are several free changing rooms with toilets and showers, which are clean and tidy. There are several cafes and coffee shops nearby, as well as a 7-Eleven where you can buy everything you need. There are several lifeguard posts on the beach, as well as several people on duty right at sea on a special raft. The beach has good transport accessibility, and it took about 45 minutes by public transport to get from the Kowloon hotel. At Central station, a double-decker bus 6 or 6a starts its route to Stanley village (by the way, it also has its own beach and slightly fewer people), passing through Repulse Bay. Along the way, you will see the sleeping areas of Van Chai and views of the coves on the other side of the island. I advise you to visit the beach when you have time, especially in the morning on weekdays, there are few people at this time. It's pretty crowded on weekends. The main disadvantage is the garbage that washes ashore in the afternoon, especially on weekends.
