The Republican Palace of Culture of Trade Unions, located at Independence Avenue, 25 in Minsk, was opened on July 3, 1956. The building, designed by architect Vladimir Ershov, is an example of neoclassical architecture with elements of Soviet monumentalism. The facade of the palace is decorated with sculptural compositions created by Sergey Selikhanov, Alexey Glebov and Viktor Popov. Inside the palace there are various halls for cultural and entertainment events. The theater hall accommodates 850 spectators and is equipped with a modern stage and acoustics suitable for concerts, performances and other major events. The pillared hall, richly decorated with stucco, is used for celebrations and cultural programs. The Trade Union Palace of Culture actively participates in the cultural life of the city, holding various contests, festivals, exhibitions and concerts. Many creative groups work here, including the choral chapel, the Rainbow Folk Dance Ensemble and the ECHO Theater. The Palace also provides its own facilities for conferences, seminars and other business events.

We got here unexpectedly... We took tickets to the Gorky Theater, and he shows his performances here while he is being repaired. To the House of Trade Unions... Impressive... size, architecture, and condition. We have 2 cultural centers in the city built about the same year. Ours are a little smaller, but the columns and moldings are present. We enjoyed wandering around the House of trade Unions. The condition of the building is respected.

The Gorky Theater is currently under renovation, so I had to watch the play in this hall. Nostalgia to the point of tears. Absolutely Soviet pompous style of the 50s of the 20th century. There are a lot of stucco and columns, but modern photographs of working people are hanging in the hills. It looks very organic.
