The place is historical. Everything is changing, but the train station and its location are still in the same place. The terminal inside has certainly been modernly renovated. It's warm, it's light, and flies don't bite. Welcome Riga.

Due to the reconstruction of the railway tracks, it became inconvenient to get to the platforms, the passage from the market side was closed. And it's been a long time since it was time to properly repair the platforms

The train station is like a train station, there are always a lot of homeless people around the station, etc.

Riga Pasažieru station (Riga Passenger Station) in Riga is the main railway station of the city. It was opened in 1861 and since then has served as an important transport hub, connecting Riga with other cities and regions of Latvia, as well as with many other European cities. Rigas Pasažieru is a historic building with impressive architecture, which serves not only to transport passengers, but also to provide various railway services and commercial enterprises. This station embodies the rich history of railway transport in Riga and Latvia as a whole.

It's a great station, but there is one drawback: low platforms.

I've been there twice:in Soviet times and after the collapse of the empire.always coming to Riga excited the imagination, and the train station was the forerunner of something interesting and unfamiliar.
