The theater building was built in 1908, under King Gustav V. The style is Viennese Art Nouveau. The building and its interiors were decorated by the best Swedish artists, including sculptor Carl Milles and painter Carl Larsson. The theater contains six theater halls, from large to small, educational. There is a bust of playwright August Strindberg at the entrance to the theater. There is a bronze statue of actress Margareta Crook near the side wall of the theater (here she usually smoked before performances). The statue is constantly heated, so that you can keep warm near it in cold weather.
