Looking at the ruins of ancient Pitiunt, I cannot help but be outraged by the catastrophically small amount of information about both the fortress of Pitiunt itself and the buildings inside the city! What about the history of the city itself? How did Pitsunda become from Pitiunt? Don't get me wrong, but I found only the ruins of the fortress wall, lined with cobblestones and hastily restored in some places with concrete and cement. I would really like to add signs with QR codes at the landmark or a map with an interactive pen (as it is made in the fortress of Noteburg (Oreshek), so that inquisitive minds can see and explore everything on their own. For example, the cobblestones are laid out in several levels, it's probably a well, but square and rectangular buildings - of course, I'm interested in history, but I can't predict what it was, I'm just a tourist and I want the help of professionals to tell me where the stable was, where the mill is, where the dungeon is. The wall itself stretches across the entire historical part of the city, the most restored part of the wall enters the territory of the Great Pityunt Museum, is lined with large cobblestones, partially restored with a special sand mixture, and even asphalt and concrete are further away from the museum. The wall is about one and a half meters wide with characteristic narrow windows (or, most likely, loopholes). It is said that the wall has been rebuilt several times, this can be seen from the masonry: where the cobblestones are, where even the bricks are. I'm really looking forward to a great VR tour of the fortress and QR codes💗 this fortress has something to tell us💖 P.S. the photo shoot at the wall turns out great😎

We left the acquaintance and tour of the historical place in the center of Pitsunda, Great Pityunt, on the last day of departure. This is a historical and architectural museum reserve. Historical artifacts and buildings from different eras are on display on its territory. After visiting Pitiunt, it is necessary to get acquainted with the history of Abkhazia and better with a guide. We just got on a very interesting tour in the museum, the history of Pitsunda from antiquity to the present. We saw the remains of an ancient wall built by the ancient Greeks, 8 m high with watchtowers in the 1st century BC. The national pride of Abkhazia is the Church of St. Nicholas. St. Andrew the First-Called. It houses the relics of St. John Chrysostom. In 1975, an organ was installed in the great hall of the cathedral, which is why services are not held in the cathedral. Sacred music festivals, concerts, and exhibitions are held. Organ music concerts in autumn are attended by people from Moscow, Krasnodar, St. Petersburg, and Rostov. The acoustics there are excellent. There was a concert on the day of our departure, it's a pity... Next time, and we come often, we will definitely go to a concert.

When buying a ticket, we were informed about the tour. The young man told a little about the place where the museum is located, its history. Informative, we listened to the organ. The museum itself is small, there is a souvenir shop. An hour is enough for a leisurely inspection, along with the employee's story.
